    Scyther is the only one here who's the most competent. He's so good that both evolutions of his share his BST, the stats are just distributed differently. And even then, Scyther Technician with STAB Bug Bite and Dual Wingbeat... disgusting. (I run Kleavor in Champions with Sheer Force Life Orb for a permanent 70% dmg boost without even needing Swords Dance XD)

    Who's gonna tell bro this slow bug not only has 2 4x weaknesses but even had a THIRD 4x weakness exclusively to Gen 1 💀🥀💔

    I know it does. I use it for its utility, which is the best Sleep move in the game and it feasts on Diglett with x1/4 resistance and gobbles up those Speed EV's(and Gen 1 EV training is way different).

    Plus need I remind everyone(Gen 1 games mind you) that Butterfree, Scyther and Pinsir get no Bug Moves at all. Beedrill and Venomoth do get at least one Bug move, but they're vulnerable to Psychic so can't really counter Psychic types unless they outspeed and get a OHKO. Paras/Parasect is the only one that does get a Bug move and isn't x2 from Psychic.

    You say "Counter Psychic Types" like as if they're the strongest Type in Gen 1. They're not. It's Normal. And the strongest Normal Types that have CONSISTENTLY been the best in Gen 1 will outspeed and OHKO your precious mushroom with Flamethrower. End of story.
