I'm late but yes! Surprise please!
1 -
You're in the forest, searching for the area Gary told you about. You've been looking for about an hour and haven't came across it yet. On the plus side, though, you've battled some wild Pokémon! Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Tailow, and a few others. You're Pokémon gained some experience, Sprigatito even learning Quick Attack!
Suddenly, you trip over a rock, crashing into the ground with a yelp. You grumble as you push yourself up and brush your clothes off. You look down at the stone that caused your fall and gasp. That isn't just some rock. That's a Wishing Stone!
You look around and see that you are surrounded by them. They're clustered together, scattered around the ground. "Jackpot," you exclaim, immediately picking some up. Once you have what you hope is enough, you begin to leave. But then a rustle in a nearby bush catches your attention.
Curiosity getting the better of you, you venture closer to the shrug. Peaking into it, you find a humanoid looking Pokémon crouched behind it. It jumps up with surprise, backing away quickly. It chuckles nervously, being caught in the act of spying on you.
It is the size of an average human. It has wide, goggle-like eyes and a curved beak. It is pitch black and looks like it's wearing a long robe, gloves, and boots. It reaches into its robe and pulls out a see through orb, which it throws onto the ground with a confidence smirk
That smirk quickly disappears as the ball just shatters on impact, liquid splattering everywhere. The Pokémon looks at the ground where the mess it made is then up at you. It gives an awkward chuckle and shrugs with a small smile. That must not of been what it wanted but you don't care.
"Look, I don't know what your deal is or even what you are, but you seem like an interesting Pokémon," you tell it, sending out Sprigatito. "So I'm gonna catch you!"
It looks at the Grass Cat and laughs, reaching into its robe again, this time sending out a glop of people ooze. "Dodge it," you shout. Your cat barely manages to avoid the Sludge Bomb, leaping to the right. "Great job. Now use Quick Attack!"
As soon as Sprigatito's feet hit the dirt, it launches forward, ramming into the opponent. There is the sound of glass breaking as the move hits. "Alright," you cheer with a wide smile. Your joy quickly disappears as you notice that your partner is Poisoned now. "How'd that happen!?"
During your shock, the enemy recovers, quickly sending another Sludge Bomb at the cat, this time the move landing. Sprigatito cries in agony. "It's okay," you tell your partner. "Retaliate with Magical Leaf!"
The poisoned Pokémon meows as it summons a bunch of blades of leaves, launching them at the target. The one in black just smirks as the move hits, seeming unbothered by the damage it just took. It then opens its arms in a flashy upward arc, its eyes glowing purple. Purple shards appear where its arms were. These shards fly at Sprigatito quickly, dealing massive damage.
"That was a Psyshock," you mutter. Based off the moves it has used this seems to be a Poison/Psychic type. "Alright, use Bite!"
Your partner lunges forward, chomping down on the opponent. Based on the dramatic scream and even more dramatic fall the enemy does, you can safely assume that was super effective. As Sprigatito backs away, it fliches slightly, the poison doing some damage. The other Pokémon quickly takes advantage of this moment of weakness, getting back to its feet with surprising speed, reaching into its cloak, and throwing one of those orbs at the cat.
You panic, unsure what this will do but knowing it will be bad. Y'all don't have time to react, the ball hitting Sprigatito and shattering, covering it in a light blue liquid. You begin to reach for Charcadet's ball, but then your partner meows with shock as it is cured of its Poisoning and all damage being undone. It stands up straight, mewing happily. The opponent sighs with disappointment, face palming to further show how it feels.
"Let's take advantage of this luck," you shout. "Quick Attack!"
As the Grass Cat charges forward, it glows with light. You watch in amazement as it grows, certain features changing as it dashes. When is rams into the opponent, the light disburses. Sprigatito just evolved into Floragato! It also knocked the target out.
You throw a PokéBall at it. One shake. Two shakes. Three shake. DING! "Heck yeah," you cheer, going and collecting your catch. "I just caught... Whatever that thing was!"
Floragato cheers, too, hugging you tightly. "You were great out there," you praise it, hugging it back. After y'all are finished celebrating you return it and return to Jirus.
Time Skip brought to you by your wonderful author!
"Hey, Gary, I did it," you shout as you make it into the Gym. Gary smiles at you.
"That's great," he tells you, walking up to you. With him is a woman in long white robes. She has short blonde hair and dark brown eyes. "This is the person that can make the Dynamax Band. Her name is Patty.
"Hi," you say with a wave. "I'm-"
"I know who you are," she cuts in rudely. "Give me the Wishing Stars so I can get to work."
"Oh, okay," you reply, pulling the rocks out of your bag and hand them to her. As you get the stones, your new Pokémon's PokéBall falls out. It pops out with flash, standing with an arm held in the air like a magician. It then looks around, sees all the people, and cringes, leaping far away from everyone.
"Oh, wow, you caught a Poiche," Gary states with shock.
"That's what that is," you ask. "I don't know its name but yeah I caught it."
"How do you not know what it is," Patty inquires with an attitude. "You have a PokéDex to tell you."
"Oh, I forgot about that," you exclaim, pulling that little device the Professor gave you. You point it at the Pokémon and the electronic does a quick scan before beeping, showing you information about it.
It's Poiche, the Plague Doctor Pokémon. Psychic and Poison type. It creates its own medicines with materials it finds lying around and mixing them in containers it makes. It stores these remedies in its robe-like skin, using them later. These mixes, however, don't always work and have random effects. They can cause status, healing, stat change, damage, O.H.K.O, or nothing. Completely unpredictable, even for it. Yours has the ability Poison Touch. Gender unknown.
"Cool," you say. "Can it G-Max?"
"No," the blonde states simply (and a bit harshly). "But two of your future Pokémon can. Once Charcadet evolved, if Armarouge it can G-Max. Your Sprigatito, once Lacosian Meowscarada, can G-Max. That would require Max Soup, though."
"Coincidentally I have some," Gary says happily. "But only enough for one Pokémon. Which will you give it to?"
There is the question
Which will get to G-Max in the future?
I want to remind y'all that giving it to Charcadet may be useless
This is a group decision, so when it evolved in the future it might be one of its other evolutions, which don't have G-Maxes but have something else
But if you're confident Armarouge will win then go with that
I wanted Lacosian Meowscarda to be a surprise when it came, but never mind

I'm sure Meowscarada would be cool but I'm tempted to say Charcadet and then choose to evolve it into Ceruledge because it would be very funny to me. So, Charcadet.

Charcadet

Wait, if we choose charcadet, then it would only work if it ended up evolving to armarouge? Sigh, I really hope it's a ceruledge, so I say give it to sprigatito.

I think it would be funny if this whole arc was pointless and we just wasted all our time over nothing. It's not like we're going to lose if we make the wrong choice, after all.
