Well staraptor is really cool…

A Charcadet jumps out at you! "My first battle," you exclaim excitedly, throwing out Sprigatito. It meows at the Fire type, ready to fight. "I know we have the type disadvantage, but we can win! Use Scratch!"
The Grass Cat launches itself forward, claws out. It slashes the Charcadet, which stubles backwards from the hit. The opponent glows blue as its stat decreases, followed by a red glow. It then dashes forward quickly with Tackle, slamming into Sprigatito at full force.
"Weak Armor," you mutter to yourself. "That's Charcadet's Hidden Ability." You then smirk with excitement. "Which means this one is extra rare! Use Scratch again!"
Sprigatito claws the Fire Child again, this time dealing more damage thanks to the Defense decrease from Weak Armor. The opponent glows with the stat changes again before launching an Ember at the Grass type. The move is fast, hitting your partner before y'all can react. The cat is blasted to the ground, staggering to its feet.
"Are you okay," you ask it, your voice filled with concern. It mewls weakly but nods. "Alright. Then let's end this. Last time, use Scratch!"
Sprigatito leaps forward again, but instead of slicing the opponent it bites down. Your Sprigatito just learned Bite! Charcadet collapses to the ground, unconscious. You throw a PokéBall.
One shake... two shakes... three shakes... DING!!!
"Alright," you cheer, rushing forward and hugging your partner tightly. "We had our first win and catch!" Sprigatito meows happily, rubbing its cheek against yours. After y'all are done celebrating, you return the cat and pick up your new Pokémon. Then, you continue to the next town.
Time skip
You approach the entrance to the town. There is a sign that reads "Welcome to Jirus!" You continue into the place and find the area packed with people. They're all shopping at different stores and cafés, all mingling and smiling.
"Friendly looking place," you mutter to yourself as you walk through. Many people wave and smile at you, which you return. You don't make any stops or indulge in conversation. You just want to get to the gym, win, and leave. It doesn't take much looking to find the place.
It is a simple building of all white. Honestly nothing special about it. Just that it's taller then the surrounding structures and so bland it stands out. In front of the entrance is a sign that reads "Jirus Gym." As you begin to enter, Jerry walks out.
"Took you long enough," he says with a smirk. "I already beat him. Only took me a few minutes, too."
"My win will only take a matter of seconds," you shoot back confidently. Jerry rolls his eyes.
"Whatever," he states, pushing past you. "See you when I'm champion!"
You watch as he leaves, disappearing into the crowd. Now more determined then before, you push the doors open, marching into the building. The inside is as bland as the out. White walls, roof, and tile floor. There a few couches and chairs, but not much other decoration. There's a desk in the corner, where a man is sitting.
"Oh, hey," he exclaims with a smile. "Must be another challenger." He gets up and walk up to you. He's wearing a white hoodie and black sweat pants, no shoes.
"That's right," you tell him. He smiled wider.
"Cool! I'm the Gym Leader, Garry, and I use Normal types," he tells you. I don't think there's anything better than the simple life!" He happily pulls out a PokéBall, getting it ready.
"Wait, we're battling here," you ask with shock. He shrugs.
"Why not? Choose your Pokémon and let's go!"
