Got a NES when I was really, really young, brother won(no joke) a SNES not long after it came out and we got an N64 in 98 and I got a Gameboy Color in 99(w/ Yellow version). Brother later went on to get a PS2 before moving back east where he still resides today(not sure if the PS2 still works though). Got a PS3 late 2010 but haven't gotten anything since then until this past Xmas when I got a Switch 2. So in terms of Nintendo… I pretty much went 25+ years w/o anything. The NES, SNES and N64 are all long gone :( The only thing I still have is my Gameboy Color with a still working Yellow version. The PS3 is long gone too so… yeah Switch 2 is pretty much it.
Games I used to play on the NES… lets see if memory is still viable here… Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt, Tennis(two of which are on Nintendo Online… I didnt see Duck Hunt… boo), Double Dribble(didnt see it on NO), Star Wars(I never beat that… and isnt on NO), TMNT 2(I was amazed I actually beat that as a little 5 year old, obviously not on NO), Operation Wolf(not on NO), Sky Shark(not on NO) and both Contra and Super Contra(why these aren't on NO I'll never know).
For SNES, had Super Mario World, various Madden Games, various Hockey games, NBA Showdown, and several turn-base strategy in Operation Europe and PTO + PTO2(my dad loved these three). Also had Donkey Kong Country, Mario is Missing(which afaik isn't on NO) and one other title that is escaping me right now. N64, I only had 4 games in Madden 99, Ocarina of Time, Battletanks and Rogue Squadron(only one is on NO).
If you ever need a first Campaign strategy as USA that never fails on PTO2, feel free to ask. TLDR: I declare war on everyone but China(supply chain reasons) and proceed to capture Marshall + Gilbert Islands, then Marcus and finally Iwo Jima to force the Japanese to try and retake Iwo because Iwo is a critical supply junction along with Manila(which the AI inexplicably doesn't attack in force to take it). Basically, I force the enemy into coming to me on my terms and I obliterate them. It does require neutralizing the airfields on Saipan though and that's arguably the riskiest thing in the entire campaign. I also take Montreal in Canada from the British, which is kind of easy given its isolated with minimal defense.

ive got two switches, a 3ds, a ds lite, two wiis, a gamecube with gameboy player, a gameboy pocket, an snes, six xbox 360s, three xboxes, a ps4, two ps3s, and a ps2.
the rest of my family doesnt have any consoles i am the only one who has been collecting so it has been harder for me to get my hands on older consoles considering the resell prices of the consoles and cartridges, the disk based consoles are cheaper. i also dont care much for later gen stuff cause i have a pc that does the job.

@Hades0918How in the world did you get an Atari?!?!??!?!??!!?!

My dad also has a Coleco (first time I've heard of this), Nintendo 64 (my Uncle has it right now and my dad got it when it came out like he did the Atari), and he did have an NES but it's broke
He also had a R.O.B
Never opened it, but it was one of the first ones made
Unopened but he kept it because the first ones were recalled so he kept it (knowing the price would go up)
He still has it

After talking about the old games I used to have… now I want to play them on Nintendo Online but I can't(for the majority of them anyway… 😭). I also forgot about Baseball Stars on the NES… my brothers played that one religiously. Ditto Tecmo Bowl… arguably the greatest NES game ever made.
