Yeah, I get your frustration, it can be really annoying when teammates don’t play objectives properly. Even at higher ranks, not everyone has good game sense, especially around key fights like Groudon. Sometimes people focus too much on farming and ignore team coordination, which costs the match. I guess the best you can do is try to adapt and maybe queue with reliable players when possible.

I agree. I think I’m pretty much done here. Thanks for the comment.

    @Annimorpheus

Funny thing... reread what I wrote earlier and in the other threads I know you have seen me comment in or post.

You are lumping me in with your assumptions too. (Should I say a "How rude" to you too?) I do play what you consider "appropriately"... LOL! My goodness! I do put the team first too! Just only had a slight clue previously about what the term "meta" (which isn't in the actual game) was.

And yes, you did say that meta was based on the expectations, strategies, and changes made to the every changing list of buffs, nerfs, new pokemon, new held items, new stadiums etc. and then you listed YouTubers.…so by following meta, you guys/gals/people listen to them and emulate how they play (I super summarized).

Funny how some of us just play regarding what's good for the team and that ends up aligning with the current meta even though we didn't know it nor care about meta.

I, for one, play to win, play for the team, and work hard for it. That's what ranked really means to me. It shows that I have those qualities and I hope that when you run into others of a similar rank, that you'll find they've got good character too. Unfortunately I know this isn't always true due to the amount of bad behavior I have seen and experienced in ranked (and probably why soooooo many people complain in the Unite forums). Probably why this thread was started to begin with. Sigh

Just remember everyone.... our character shows in how we play.... in any type of game, match, or stadium..... regardless of meta or the norm.

the "its on oficial website" link thingy is talking about the Pokémon UNITE Championship Series NOT normal people playing the game.

    You humor me!

You're right, it would be funny!

What would be funnier is if the people that hate on the game and any players that don't play the "meta" are the ones driving players away from the game!

I didn't think there was a problem in general!

Just because we disagree doesn't mean there is an issue

And the thing is, we didn't start this

Somebody else is the one that brought up playing how we want, then another person contradicted, which led to a new conversation

This has nothing to do with the OP any more but you blame us for something that isn't our fault

WOW.. I’m sorry, but you are not entitled to play however you want when it affects others who are playing the game correctly. YES, there IS a “correct” way to play UNITE Ranked, just as there’s a “correct” way to play certain TCG formats.

I don’t show up to a Pokémon TCG Gym Leader Challenge and insist that I can play with more than one Pokemon type or get to use ACE SPEC cards because that’s what I enjoy. That’s not how the TCG game mechanics work and it’s just plain rude to insist that I should be able to play it any way I like when there’s already an established way that literate TCG players know how to play it. You would tell me to go touch grass. So it is with UNITE.

The cognitive dissonance is too much. Please be respectful of the rest of the UNITE Ranked Community and learn to play it correctly just as you would hope I’d learn to play the Gym Leader Challenge correctly..

I will no longer comment here. The entitlement & purposeful ignorance about Ranked are too frustrating..

    I don't think you're understanding what we're saying

The comparison you're using doesn't make sense because that would be breaking the rules of TCG, and we aren't breaking rules

We just don't play the norm (or meta)

A better comparison is instead of using TCG decks that everyone else is using because it is the meta and expected, we come up with our own unique decks (that don't break rules)
