Ok, so could you please answer my question? Why bother with RANKED, which clearly has the expectation of playing conventions, when you could play Casual, which has the exact same map & objectives but you can play any way you like?

That’s like getting into a pool where a synchronized swimming practice is occurring - even though there’s a community pool over there 👉🏻🫠 - and insisting that you should just be able to swim laps, do water aerobics, or “[swim] the way you enjoy.”

It comes across as if believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment while ignoring the community expectations as a whole :/

Because I enjoy the rewards of my effort in Ranked

Casual doesn't give you anything for working hard

Ranked allows me to see that effort get recognized and adds motive to give it my all so I don't get a decrease in points

I see you added something to the bottom

That shouldn't be how it's seen

One thing I'd like to say is there shouldn't be any expectations

If I were to be playing right now I'd hope my teammates are having fun instead of worrying about playing the way others want them to play

The point of a game is to enjoy it, not stress over matching what is "expected"

It shouldn't be considered self-centered because that's the way everyone should play

They should play how they most enjoy

If you enjoy playing as how you feel is expected, then by all means do it that way

But don't try to force people to play the same way, no matter what mode you're in

(I'm sorry if that sounded rude and I mean no disrespect by it)

I give up 😂 Adjusting to meta is clearly not on your radar.

What's Meta? FB? And what's that got to do with Pokemon Unite? Two vastly different companies....

Listen I didn't know what this was either until I got on here and people were using the word left and right

Meta is what everyone else is doing

    The best cards decks

    The best move sets

    The best teams

Everyone uses them because they are the best set ups, and it becomes "meta"

Me, personally, I don't follow or care about the meta

I do what I enjoy most

If it's not fun or original, why do it?

Honestly.... No. I have no clue why everyone throws the word "Meta" around. I'm assuming that it means like AI or algorithms for best loadouts or probabilities in matches with x vs y Pokemon (x & y being variables) but where everyone is getting their info from, I sincerely and honestly don't know.

I also know that Meta is the newer name for the Facebook company. So when people throw that term around, it makes no sense to me since it isn't verbage in the actual Unite game. TiMi doesn't have the word "Meta" programed in the game.

Oh, and if you are referring to other MOBA, I don't care about those nor do I play those because THEY ARE NOT UNITE. Nor should Unite be them. And it isn't. However some people who play both or did, want Unite to conform to other game standards. I say no.

Ok so the term "Meta" is also the name of a company however the younger generation uses it instead of the word "norm".

What you just described @Hades0918 is what the specific term "norm", used in University textbooks, means or meant when I was in college back in the 2000's. So we're talking about a word that's changed over time, not the company. Kind of like the word "salty" huh? Lol. I( never understand why people think salt is a bad thing. I love salt! Well, and chocolate. And the two balance each other out)

Yeah, I'm those younger people but very out of touch with current terminology

I'm one of them people that use the word "norm"

My cousin, though, she knows all the words and often teaches them to me
