My thoughts on first to 500

after playing a lot and reading/watching a good bit of China's 500p mode and the tourney yesterday there are 4 things they need to add to keep the modes longevity and maybe even be competitive enough for rank and UCS

  1. in China's 500p there are always 3 of the same aeos techs to pick from instead of the full pool and its determined by the mons role so you know at all stages of the game what your options are and your opponents (easier for casters and players also) since it lets more strategies exist instead of being full RNG pray you get the one that works well (100pt tier has almost 11 different ones to pull from and that's just awful for consistency)

  2. map needs a few more changes to fit it remoat feels too small of a map and a lot of wild mons
can be bursted through a bit too quickly especially some of the buff objectives as well

  3. which is most important i think, and that's bringing cn's move upgrades which let you upgrade both of your moves and ult with a new effect of your choice to that mode which would make it shine more since it gives players more choices in the match and more fun to play/watch

  4. zap is the most balanced it's ever been but i feel respawn timers should be increased slightly especially at end game or even letting regileki/regidrago spawn at top and bot instead of the rotoms post 8 mins since end game is cool but also feels like it lacks a lot of depth

A bonus also, if this mode comes to rank make the standard version have a lot of "for fun" aeos techs that are heavily unbalanced but are just outright fun to play with

I would be really confused if I played/trained with something in standard format and then the ranked format would offer something different. I believe it is best if they are the same; standard is just a place where you can play with less pressure, try out new pokémon and tactics etc..

I think it depends on how many real trainers are choosing to play that around the same time as when you enter and start the matchmaking process.

Perhaps if you don't mind an extended initial wait period before the match, then it would be easier to fill the teams with reals?

FYI, I have been made to wait 15+ minutes to get going on the monthly tournament matches, and 7+ minutes on ranked. Waiting for long periods beyond the initial couple minutes kinda cools down the initial adrenaline rush of going for rank or tourneys.... Not a good thing.
