After 7 years, l'm finally back to Pokémon. When was the first time you were introduced to Pokemon?

I watched DVDs of the first season of the show when I was a little kid. At some point, my parents got me a box set of the TCG, and I played with my sibs. Somewhere along the way I started playing Pokémon Moon on the 3DS.

So I was introduced to Pokémon with DVDs of the TV show, but was kind of introduced to several facets of the franchise individually. Never read any of the manga.
