If you could only pick one of the starter types in any generation, which one would it be

Personally I would pick the grass type since most of my favorite starters are already the grass types

    most of my favss are fire so fire is probably the bst for me

    my altime fav starter is torchic

    I've gotta say Water bc Water is the best type imo and most of my faves are Water

    Only downside is no Charizard or Meowscarada :'(

    Fire.

    I'm sorry, Turtwig, Squirtle, and Mudkip (and Snivy), but Fennekin, Litten, Scorbunny, and Cyndaquil make it the better choice. And I guess Tepig is good for the Unova gyms.

    (Actually, Fennekin alone would make it a better choice.)

    Grass Type = The Best Type. There's Chespin, Turtwig, Bulbasaur, Rowlet, Sprigatito, Grookey, and Chickorita. All are solid starters and have solid final evolutions.

    Water. Most of the time I default to picking the Water starter, though I will sometimes pick Grass or Fire if I decide I like the Pokemon species better.
