Not me(don't play). Most people are busy right now(almost 18:00 UTC) and generally aren't available until 00:00 UTC or so(give or take depending on Time Zone).
Only reason I show interest is because Alolan Ninetales. If she wasn't in the game I'd give zero Ditto's about Unite.

Mono-Fighting would be nuts. Lucario, Machamp, Urshifu, Pawmot and Blaziken.

You can "purchase" via the shop (shopping cart icon) various things like held items, item enhancers, battle points multiplier passes, some gear for your avatar, and maybe other stuff in the shop. (Explore in there when you have time).
You also use those tickets to unlock emblem set slots and to "pay" for emblem upgrades (must have three of the same emblems of the same level).
When there's a dice roll event, you can use tickets to reroll the dice before moving if you want a better roll.
Hmmmm there's probably more, I just can't think atm.
Feel free to explore in-game. That's how most of us learned.
