Last time Pombon was the most popular.
I wonder if that will change. If the evolved forms aren't as good there might be a shift, but we probably won't see them until next year.

I abstained last time and will continue out of protest due to fire starter likely the new Fire/Fairy. I said I'd riot and when it's verified, you will know fury that hasn't been seen.

Looks at Kanto, Unova, and Alola that didn't use a balance
Also, my expectations are:
Water/Poison
Fire/Fairy
Grass/Ground
That would match the triangle perfectly
But they don't have to make them all counter each other
Gecqua could become Water/Poison and I whole-heartedly hope it does

Bulbasaur was part poison. Your point? Fairy is weak to poison while poison is weak to ground(rumored second typing of Grass type). So you'd have Ground/Poison/Fairy triangle that gives Grass an edge for once because Fairy doesn't hurt Ground heh(while giving the Grass type if its fast enough a way to KO the Fire Dog).
