same reason why Charizard isn’t a Dragon type. They need to be weak to fire, water, and grass respectively. If Gecqua were a poison type it would not be weak to grass.

Empoleon was part Steel, making it neutral to Grass, yet no one complained because Torterra had **GROUND** to KO the Penguin. Speaking of the Penguin, it should have been Water/Ice. They live in Arctic conditions. Anyways it may not start with Poison like Bulbasaur did but it doesn't mean it won't have it by Tier 2 or Tier 3.

Aren't starters generally 7/8(87.5%) Male so getting a Female is a real crapshoot? Even Eevee is that low. That's why you stick to Pokémon like Vulpix(75% Female).
