Echoes of Wisdom Hero Mode 100% Journal

Eh at least that's one person reading it in some capacity. For those interested, you can use this: EoW Map to try and follow my movements.

@Hades0918 I know I said Part#7 would appear tomorrow but figured I'd squeeze it in tonight before heading to bed.

Entry#7: Faron Wetlands + Bonus Content(Eastern Palace + Hyrule Castle Town + Eternal Forest).

Faron is an area in the Southeast part of the map that we would visit after the 4th Dungeon. However, nearly everything of major interest is open to us right now, including all the Echoes and hidden Accessories that are present there.

To get there, I warp to Great Fairy Island and proceed NNE to an area that leads to the path that goes to Jabul Waters. I then turn East and climb the Trees up to where there is a Monster Camp that contains more River Horses(ingredients). South of that is a waterfall that goes into Lake Hylia. I steer clear to the right and follow it South to another Monster Camp for Refreshing Grapes(ingredients). South of that Camp on a ledge to the left is a Might Crystal hiding under a Bush.

I then backtrack all the way to the Waterfall, turn right and drop into the beginning of Faron Wetlands, activating the waypoint. I follow the path, defeating Monsters as I go. The path splits but the destination is the same in Scrubton or the Deku Village. I opt to take the North path as it'll take you by a particular landmark for a future side quest.

After arriving in Scrubton, there's one Side quest available. You show a Deku a Drippitune for some Electro Apples. With that done, I continue heading East along the North perimeter. In the NE corner of the map, I come across a Stamp location and a Might Crystal that is blocked by a web. I burn it away with an Ignizol and grab it.

I then return to Scrubton and head east and then south where the path splits in three directions. I take the east path first that takes me to a Temple entrance that has three useful Echoes. The first one is Armos or monsters who move in a straight line. These are useful for activating Switches in future Dungeons, hence an important acquisition. The next Echo are Beamos. Beamos are arguably my favorite Echo in the game as they're immune to Wind, can be dropped in Water and still fight and their rate of fire is generally pretty good. You need Bomb Fish to beat them though, hence why I did Jabul Waters first. One Bomb Fish to stun, then a 2nd to KO. The third and final Echo is a level 3 Darknut. These things mean business and might be surprised to see one given we haven't encountered level 2 yet(yeah level 2 is in the 4th Dungeon). Use any and all means to take it down but stay back because it deals a ton of damage. Our reward is the Brace Belt or an accessory that adds Knockback to our spins.

We then exit the Temple and take the South path that takes us to an area with a level 2 Mothula. We haven't faced level 1 yet(they're in Gerudo Sanctum Dungeon) but Bind and our new Beamos take it down.

Once the Moth is cleared we proceed down the third path or west. This takes us by a body of water to our north that happens to have a Stamp location. Acquire it and continue West. This takes us to a thick grass area where Drippitunes cause it to rain. If you can destroy them, you can use Ignizol to set the thick grass on fire. You'll meet Lizalfos, Baby Gohma and other Monsters along this path.

As you burn the grass on the left side of the map, you'll notice that there is a small narrow path to the left while the main path goes to the right. At the end of the narrow path are a group of flowers/bushes. Cut the middle one for a Might Crystal before heading to the main path and going into the Cave.

This Cave has two important things inside. The first is a Heart Piece that requires Strandtula to get to. The other is an extremely powerful Echo in a Lizalfos(level 3). These things are deadly in water and hit really hard so stay back and use Chompfin to defeat it. Claim the 50 rupee chest as a reward. You'll exit on the other side at the top but will want to continue heading South where you'll come across another Stamp location. South of that is a Faron landmark or a Heart shaped lake and a waypoint. This waypoint is valuable as it's a quick travel point to an optional Minor Rift later in the game.

From here, head East where you'll run into another Cave. This first part is hard because a particular Bird rallies the enemies inside to swarm you. Lure it down to the narrow area and use a Stone Boulder to block the ground enemies and use a Beamos to KO the Bird. With the Bird down, use whatever Echo you desire to down the Hoarders(aka Paras as I like to call them).

In the next room slowly make your way around to grab the Heart Piece. There is an optional room to the North that has a chest with 50 rupees. It's much easier with Tri at level 3 but it's possible to light all torches at level 2. Just requires perseverance and spawning an Ignizol inside the barrier(if you do Z-target the Torch). Anyways once the Heart Piece is acquired, head out the Southeast exit.

Once outside, immediately climb up the ledge above you to claim a Might Crystal(middle bush/flower). Then drop down and go east, coming across a powerful foe in an Electric Wizzrobe. These things are deadly so use Beamos to take it down. East of the Wizzrobe is the final waypoint of the area and this one is also important because it leads to a future minor Rift and one you have to clear for the main story. North of the waypoint are some ruins and some Drippitunes. Kill them and light the two torches to cause the Ruin entrance to appear. This area is where you'll go to finish a future Side quest. North of that entrance is the last Stamp location of Faron.

With Faron done, I figured some Bonus content is in order. First up is the Eastern Palace and the Side Quest therein. As you travel deeper into the Eastern Palace, you'll eventually come across Smog, a Boss you face in Oracle of Ages game. My way of dealing with him is Beamos. I don't have the Bow yet so Echoes are the next best thing and Beamos are really good here. After he takes some damage, he splits and you have to use Boulders to direct and force his pieces to merge together before you can deal damage to him. Defeat him for a Heart Piece and an Ancient Charm accessory. The Charm is insanely useful as it reduces incoming damage.

Now Hyrule Castle Town is simple. After warping to the waypoint and crossing the bridge, I head right, hugging the river edge before turning north to the top where you'll eventually find a Heart Piece. Backtrack to the Castle Town entrance but instead go left and then north where you'll run into Acorn game#4. With Zora Flippers, this game is easy. Reward for fast completion is 3 Might Crystals. Next we go into town and talk to the boy who loves Zols. Since we have all three Zol types, simply show them for a Might Crystal. Then we go and bind the weather vane to move it out of the way to reveal some stairs. Head down to claim a chest with 2 Might Crystals. Then in the shop we buy the Stone Anklet Accessory that reduces Knockback.

The final bonus area is Eternal Forest or Lost Woods. This is the final area we go to in the game and has the strongest Echo in the Lynel. No point in getting it because you can't use it until Tri is of a high enough level. Yet the reason we come here is for a waypoint and Might Crystal. Eternal Forest is west of Sanctuary so take the Graveyard Waypoint and head West. Activate the waypoint at the Forest entrance and then hug the right side, using Trampolines to climb the Trees while going North. Eventually you'll come to a small ledge with bushes. Cut the middle one down for the Might Crystal.

We end the session by warping back to Great Fairy Island and buying the final accessory upgrade for 1k Rupees. Next Entry is Eldin Volcano and the Gorons.

Debating whether to do part 8. Got a groove going but I'm tired so it'll have to wait until tomorrow. Next section has 9 Might Crystals, 3 Heart Pieces and 4 Stamps. Has six Echoes if memory serves. Also I missed a Might Crystal in Faron so I'm editing that in.

Nothing stopping you from getting it, although I'd recommend getting it on sale for $40 or less. When I got my Switch 2, it was on sale at the time, hence why I recommend that price point. It's not a $60 game but at $40 or less, I can certainly recommend it. The game does have Amiibo perks but I don't have any to see what they are. If I had to guess they'd be outfits and/or free ingredients. The Outfits portion of the game is coming after the 4th Dungeon. They don't really give you anything outside of an Aesthetic change but the Soft Pajamas increase Healing rate on Beds, Gerudo outfit increases your spin radius while the Cat outfit permits talking to Cats(something you need for a couple side quests). The rest don't do anything afaik.
