Echoes of Wisdom Hero Mode 100% Journal
One of the few games I got when I bought my Switch 2 last Xmas was Echoes of Wisdom. I got it on sale at the time but it's a game that deserves way more praise than it has received. Namely it's one of the few games where you actually play as Zelda and not Link and I cannot tell you how excited I was when I got to play it the first time.
Replayability is just like any other Zelda title but they have a harder Hero Mode and that's what I'll be doing for this 100% run. Hero Mode doubles incoming damage and doesn't generate hearts for you to heal. This places an ever greater emphasis on having Potions/Smoothies and emergency Fairies to keep you alive during combat. The lack of Heart generation also means that the Heart accessories also do not function(not like I used them when I play normally). I'll be trying to use images/videos where I can but I make no promises because I intend to do things unorthodox. Yet the beginning is relatively straightforward.
Anyways, our Hero Mode run begins in a dungeon as Link. This is the only time in the game we play as him as it's meant to set the stage for the upcoming story. It's also a mini-tutorial because it's meant to get you acquainted with the controls and how to fight in Swordfighter mode(a mode Zelda gains during the first Dungeon).
Slowly but surely you make your way through the Dungeon to an Elevator. This ultimately leads you to an area where Zelda resides as a prisoner inside a crystal(a crystal that is similar to the one she has in Ocarina of Time 🙅). Guarding her is a familiar foe and a battle ensues. Defeating the boss isn't too hard if you've played Zelda before and with 20 Hearts, should be no issue for the newly initiated.
Upon defeating the boss, it slams it's weapon into the ground, creating a void in the ground while it's body vanishes in a ploom of dust. Link begins to investigate the Crystal but before he can do anything the void expands, swallowing the hero. Before he succumbs to the void, Link fires an Arrow at the Crystal, cracking it.
It's at this point we take control of Zelda. I use the weakened state of the Crystal to break free and am in control of Zelda for the rest of the game. We investigate and acquire Link's Cloak before noticing an odd form of light. This odd form of light makes us realize that the void is expanding so we rush to escape the dungeon before being consumed by the void.
Upon exiting, we are found by Hylian Soldiers and are taken back to Hyrule Castle Town(and the Castle therein). After chatting with the worried villagers, we go into the Castle to meet Impa, General Wright, Minister Lefte and the King.
After reunion pleasantries, word comes of the rift spreading in Suthorn Forest and the ruins therein(where Zelda was being held captive). Suddenly a rift appears within the castle. The King tosses Zelda aside, saving her but the King, Wright and Lefte are swallowed by the rift. Out from the rift come three "Echoes" or clones/impostors of the King, Wright and Lefte. The King orders Zelda to be imprisoned and that's where our quest begins.
Down in the Dungeon, we are reacquainted with the ball of light that helped us escape the Suthorn ruins. We come to find its name to be Tri and it creates a Rod, aptly names the Tri Rod that we can use to create Echoes.
We then escape the Dungeon but before we can make it safely to the surface, the rift expands, blocking our escape. This forces us to jump into the rushing water that takes us away to the southern part of the map.
From there we make our way East, grabbing what we can, including two Heart Pieces and a couple chests containing 20 and 50 Rupees respectively. Upon arriving at Suthorn Village, we buy the Heart Piece in the Shop and grab the ever useful Trampoline Echo. The Trampoline permits us to access areas we normally couldn't get to.
Anyways the road to our destination is blocked off by the rift so our only course of action is to dispel the rift by going into the void and repairing things from within. We explore every nook to acquire our first Glass Bottle(which we can put a Fairy inside), 4th Heart Piece, several useful Echoes, including the Ignizol or a Zol that causes things to catch on fire and the Pea Hat(Ignizol makes defeating it a breeze). Before going to the rift, we use the Trampoline to access an area to the South that contains several Zol monsters and a Chest with 50 Rupees.
I return to the Rift and head inside to do the first Dungeon of the game. The first Dungeon resides inside the void. To get there I have to traverse the terrain and defeat any monsters i come across(Pea Hat comes in handy here). Along the way, I discover Minister Lefte in a petrified state. Once the rift has been dispelled/repaired, Lefte will be saved. At the end I find a familiar entrance and go inside.
Suthorn Ruins is basically the Tutorial Dungeon where we learn basic things like Binding and other traditional Zelda Dungeon features like Small Keys, Boss Key and Dungeon Maps(No compass though). Exploring everything results in the Strandtula and Darknut Echoes and several more chests, including those in the Void if you missed them.
Eventually though we return to a familiar room or where we were held captive. Instead of finding the old boss, we find what appears to be Link, only instead of greeting us, he attacks us. Turns out it's another Echo. This fight can be difficult and especially in Hero Mode where he deals twice the damage. Since you don't have access to Smoothies or other replenish mechanics, you only have a Fairy to revive you once. It's best to draw Link to a spot where he loses you and then unleash an Echo to attack him from the rear.
Once defeated, you gain Link's Sword or the Might Sword. The Sword permits you to transform into Swordfighter mode, a mode that allows you to attack like Link did at the beginning of the game, only that you just have his sword(no bow or bombs yet). However, unlike Link, you can only fight with the Sword for as long as it has power(via the power gauge). The gauge depletes over time and this can be upgraded along with acquiring Accessories that reduce gauge consumption(thereby expanding the duration you can be in Swordfighter mode). The gauge can be replenished with Might Crystals, which you can find floating in the air inside voids or that you can discover back in the real world in hidden locations(hence Might Crystals are a collectible).
As I make my way to the boss, I acquire our first Accessory in the Heart Pin. Accessories are basically equipment upgrades that Zelda can equip/unequip at any time. Think of them as fashion accessories(eh Zelda is a woman, what did you expect?) and the Heart Pin increases the odds of Hearts appearing from defeated monsters or destroyed objects. Yet since this is Hero mode, this is basically useless. Zelda can equip one Accessory at the start but can upgrade the limit up to four times but costs 100/300/500/1000 or 1900 Rupees to do so. May seem like a lot but it really isn't.
Anyways, the boss is really simple. The little orb is the weak spot so bind and pulling it is the key(that or hitting it with an Echo to dislodge it also works). Once it's been dislodged from the body, enter Swordfighter mode and attack it. Once destroyed, I claim the Heart Container and exit the void.
Minister Lefte approaches us back in the overworld and leads us to the marked destination on our map. The marked destination turns out to be Impa's brother Lueberry(would have preferred Robbie but I digress). Explains the Sword and where you can upgrade the Sword, the Gauge and later the Bow + Bombs when you acquire them. The Bombs are mostly useless due to an Echo but the Bombs do come in handy against a particular Boss(and really the only one that I can find where it does). This also unlocks the next two Dungeons along with the bulk of the overworld, which I intend to explore and grab everything I can get.
I'll stop here for now since Part two is going to be insanely long and likely without any videos/pictures because I'll be doing things unorthodox or way out of order. Namely I intend to get everything I can before I do another Dungeon/Rift and means going to areas that you wouldn't venture to until after the 4th Dungeon.

Entry#2: Suthorn Plains + Lake Hylia
Rather than doing one long post that will take eons to read(much less writ), I'm going to break this up into parts based on the areas.
After visiting Lueburry, aka "Robbie"(he's not but I'm calling him that), I tag the waypoint to the west for quick return trips. I backtrack to the Suthorn ruins so I can access a cave that was covered by the rift. To get there take the waypoint back to the ruins and use a Trampoline to get on top of the trees to the left. Head west and it'll become visible. Inside is a buried chest with a Gold Egg.
Then go back to Suthorn Village to do the first of 50 Side Quests. This Side Quest is simple by showing a villager a Pea Hat. Reward for doing so is a Might Crystal.
Next is heading North into Suthorn Plains where you'll encounter various weak monsters. The first is the Octorok and they inhabit two areas with water on the left. The first one has a pillar with a Chest on top that has 10 portions of Rock Salt. To the North is a cave but at the bottom of the lake that precedes it is a hidden Might Crystal. Need to dive down and cut the grass to reveal it. Inside the cave is a Crawltula(which you may have encountered already). Defeat it and spawn your own to climb the wall using bind. At the top is a chest with 50 Rupees.
To the east is another pillar that has a Piece of Heart at the top. Deal with the Spear Moblins and Crawltula before getting it. Use Crawtula and bind to climb a pillar and then use Beds to make a bridge to the piece.
North of the Heart Piece is another Side Quest. Defeat the nearby monsters for 20 Rupees. Then another Side Quest is clearing the path to the west that leads to Lon Lon Ranch and the greater Hyrule Field. Reward is 20 Rupees. After clearing the path and tagging the nearby waypoint, I go north to the river bordering Hyrule Castle Town. Near the South entrance is another waypoint. Yet there's two Might Crystals nearby.
The first is a Rock surrounded by Grass on a ledge. Not too easy to miss but I tend to forget about it. Lifting the rock reveals the Crystal. Do note of nearby Guay. They're quite annoying and deal a lot of damage on Hero Mode but are one of the best Echoes to have early on. Bind and your best Echo to defeat it. The other Might Crystal requires hugging the river going west around a group of trees. The Might Crystal is hidden by a isolated bush and cutting it reveals it.
Finally Lake Hylia has three collectibles. The first one being a Minor Rift. Minor Rifts yield two Might Crystals when completed and there are 15 Minor Rifts in the game. You have to finish 5 of the 15 to complete the game, making the other 10 completely optional but well worth it because Tri becomes stronger with each Rift so doing Minor Rifts gives Tri additional levels/power.
After completing the rift(not too hard, bind and clever echo use make it completable), there is a Stone Rock at the bottom of the Lake. Use bind to lift it up to reveal another Might Crystal. Then head south and climb the Trees using Trampolines and hug the coast heading East where you'll find your first Stamp location. Every 5 stamps yields a reward.
Once the Stamp is collected I go to the Great Fairy island in the middle of Lake Hylia that has a waypoint near it. Inside, I spend 100 Rupees to get my first accessory upgrade.
Figure I'd stop here. Plan to head west into Gerudo Desert or one of the primary locations that we have to visit.

Entry#3: Gerudo Desert
Gerudo Desert is surrounded by cliffs on the north and south sides. I opt to break the Desert exploration into three parts with a North part, South part and the main story Middle.
When approaching the Desert, you'll come across Crows. Crows are annoying air monsters because if they hit you, they cause your Rupees to spill out and steal them. To deal with them, i opt to use Bind to hold them in place before using a Pea Hat to defeat them. After entering the Desert, a cut scene triggers showcasing the area and tag the waypoint by the entrance.
I then climb the north cliff and find a Might Crystal under a rock by the entrance. Another Might Crystal is hiding under a rock at the top of a large tree stump that you can pull off via Bind.
Continuing along the north cliff face, you'll come across a Cave. Entering will have an initial room with a single Caromadillo, only this one is a level 2 variant. Bind makes defeating them much easier. Climb the ladder and enter the door to find two more Caromadillo(lvl 2). Use Bind to hold one in place and dodge the other one. If they hit you, they deal decent damage(especially on Hero mode). Once defeated a Chest appears with 10 Chilly Cacti. Collect the loot and return to the top of the cliff.
I continue heading West until I see the remnants of the Desert Palace in A Link to the Past. West of that the Cliff drips down where another Rock with a Might Crystal underneath. I then backtrack to the North and head further West, being sure not to fall into the Quicksand down below.
Eventually I reach another elevated area with yet another Rock with a Crystal underneath. Just to its South is a Chest. Jump down to open it to find yet another Might Crystal and head down the stairs. The stairs lead to a Cave that we will return to on a future Side Quest. Yet grab the Beetle and Beetle Mound Echoes therein. I then return back to where I was and head Northwest.
Eventually you'll run into a rift that is next to Ancestors Cave of Rest. I'll be returning here in the Middle part because it's a main story quest but entering it now permits me to grab a very useful Echo in the Holmill. This mole permits me to dig up useful treasures in the overworld and making holes in soft sand. Inside the Cave is also a Golden Egg in a Chest. Once obtained I head back outside.
When outside, the map is obscured from a sandstorm created by an enemy I'm not equipped to handle just yet. After using a Crawltula to climb back to the top, the storm clears and I continue West where I'll find my first Stamp in the Gerudo area. Continuing Northwest will run into another Cave that has Flying Tiles and Gerudo Pots. The Flying Tiles are insanely useful Echoes when it comes to getting over chasms and triggering switches. It's also needed for a Side Quest. Inside the cave is a chest with 100 Rupees so well worth it.
I then return to the Stamp and head south down a narrow elevated strip that has a single square of soft sand. I use the new Holmill Echo to reveal another Might Crystal. Down below to the left are Boarblins with Clubs and Boomerangs. Level 2 variants defend a Chest that contains the Power Glove accessory that generates more energy from defeating Dark monsters(aka monsters that spawn from Rifts).
With the North side cleared, I warp back to the Desert Entrance and climb the South cliff and wind my way around the South Perimeter. The first thing I come across is the 2nd Gerudo stamp location. I then attack the various Desert monsters from the safety of the cliffs(Caromadillo are great at this) before jumping down and entering a Cave near the Gerudo Sanctum(aka location of the big Rift).
Inside are a bunch of air jets that can be blocked by Stone boulders. After getting by them, I get another useful Echo in the Wind Cannon. Wind Cannons are portable and can be used to blow away piles of sand. Entering the room on the right has multiple mounds of sand that reveals a buried switch. Pressing it unlocks a door that yields a chest with 2 Might Crystals. The other room has two Tornado Echoes. These are harmless monsters that can be used to remove sand piles but also to launch enemies onto the air. Using bind helps a lot to defeat them and these are needed for a Side Quest.
With both Wind Echoes now acquired I backtrack to the desert entrance and retrace my steps along the Southern cliffs. South of the stamp is a mound of sand containing a Might Crystal. Then head West and jump down, being careful around the Redeads. Redeads can stun you so try to take them down asap. There's a waypoint near the Sanctum along with a cutscene where Tri investigates the rift before pointing to the next Destination: a Cavern guarded by a Gerudo.
Talking to the Gerudo results in being blocked from entering but triggers the next step in the quest with saving Captain Dohna. Dohna is unconscious and surrounded by Dark monsters. Slaying them results in earning her trust and unlocking the Palace in Gerudo Town. Before heading there, we continue along the Southern perimeter. Eventually we'll come across several mounds of Sand where a Heart Piece resides.
Continuing north along the western edge yields the third Gerudo Stamp station. I then jump down and enter Gerudo Town.
Gerudo Town has three Side Quests. The first one asks for a Tumbleweed. Binding one and taking it to her completes the quest for two Might Crystals. The next Side Quest is a game of Tag(simple enough) while the third involves the Tornado Echo. Reward for spawning one yields a cache of Fresh Milk.
I then tag the waypoint by the entrance but before continuing the story/main quest, I warp back to the desert entrance and head directly west where I'll come to the Oasis and it's valuable waypoint. The Oasis has a Side quest involving the Flying Tiles(reward is 50 Rupees) and the Mango Rush minigame. This minigame is easy. All you do is spin(pressing R) to gather Tough Mangoes. Collecting all the Mangoes on the 2nd difficulty results in three Might Crystals(for a total of 26 at this point). Be sure to grab the Soft Bed Echo for better healing outside of combat.
I then warp back to Lueburry and upgrade the Sword to level 2 and Energy to level 3. With the Sword upgraded, I warp back to Gerudo Town and buy the Gerudo Sandals accessory in the shop(400 Rupees). This accessory, when equipped, prevents you from sinking in Quicksand so now we can handle that monster causing the sandstorm. Head northwest from the Oasis and defeat the Lanmola, a centipede monster that lobs rocks at you. To defeat it, you have to bind it's tail and yank it out of the ground, exposing its soft belly. Slash away in Swordfighter mode and repeat until destroyed. With the monster gone, the sandstorm clears and now you can investigate the quicksand area where you'll see a Heart Piece. Climb the ledges and build a bed bridge to the Heart Piece.
Heading West from the Oasis, you'll come across the fourth and final Gerudo Stamp stand near two pillars. Northwest from that point and west of the Cave with the Beetles you'll find the last Desert waypoint.
Then I warp back to Gerudo town and climb the wall on the northeast part of town. Up there you'll notice stairs leading down where you'll find the useful Platboom echo along with another Heart Piece(putting me at 8 for another Heart Container).
Now I proceed into the Palace to continue the story. The Chief doesn't trust you so Dohna assigns you three mini quests. The first one to the Southeast is to slay Dark monsters. The one to the North is Ancestors Cave where we acquired the Holmil echo(light the torches to complete). Last quest is South of Gerudo Town where you'll be awarded two chilly Cacti to make a smoothie.
A Business Scrub at the Oasis sells smoothies made from various ingredients. To this point I have quite a bit of ingredients so use this opportunity to stock up on smoothies if you haven't already done so. Each smoothie recipe is recorded for future use and the game has up to 70 of them. Acquiring all 70 yields a reward of 10 Golden Eggs. Smoothies are 10 Rupees a piece and are the best emergency replenishment(for Health or Energy) in the game. Making smoothies also has two side quests, both of which yield an accessory reward that makes finding smoothie ingredients easier.
After buying the needed Smoothie, return to Dohna to complete the third mini-quest and return to the Gerudo Palace where they set off for the Desert Palace ruins and the location of a new minor Rift. You may notice that another sandstorm has appeared, hence take a detour to slay another Lanmola. While inside the rift, you discover Facette, hence the one in town is an impostor. Mending the Rift results in the impostor being destroyed and permission to enter the Sanctum.
After unclogging the Sand blocking the Sanctum, I opt to stop here.
Campaign Progress:
Might Crystals: 28/150
Heart Pieces: 8/40
Stamp Locations: 5/25
Echoes: 50/127 Too numerous to count them all.
I plan to do Hyrule Field next since I have the needed Echoes for several collectibles. Might be a long one but who knows.
2 -
quite random but I like it
3 -
My plan is to grab all collectibles I can get before I do a major rift/dungeon. You'd be surprised just how much of the map is open to you once you beat the first Dungeon and that you can do Dungeons in any order you desire. Exception being 1st and 4th Dungeon(no getting around those). Part 3 did everything up to the Gerudo Sanctum rift.
Posting part 4 later today because Hyrule Field is massive and I think I'll break it into two parts. Will do the Eastern side that leads to Jabul Waters(aka Zora) first before doing the Western side that has Hyrule Ranch(Lon Lon Ranch) and Kakariko Village. I'll save Hyrule Castle Town until after I do Jabul Waters as I'll need an Echo for a side quest there.
Eastern side has the Eastern Palace for those that played A Link to the Past(nostalgic jolt for me) but rather than exploring it for a Heart Piece, going to save it until after I do Faron Wetlands(an Echo from Wetlands trivializes Eastern Palace). Yet the Eastern side also has two Echoes I heavily use, which is another reason why I plan to do it next.
2 -
Eh words have to replace Visuals/videos.
Part 4: Eastern Hyrule
This part will feel very familiar if you've played A Link to the Past as some of the map pays homage to it. This part tackles Eastern Hyrule, Graveyard and Sanctuary(aka the Church from ALttP).
First I warp to the Castle Town waypoint and head east, hugging the river until I reach the bridge. Head north and the path splits. The left path goes north, hugging the river and goes into a field of Stone boulders that would have Octoroks spitting projectiles left and right in older games. I rarely venture there but there's not much happening there outside of usual monster activity. Anyways, our first collectible is a Might Crystal hiding under a Stone boulder to the left of the bridge. Watch for Crows as you go for it. Then head east, hugging the river where you'll find another Stone boulder. Move it to find another Might Crystal.
Now the path splits again. Left path takes you to the Eastern Palace while the right path takes you to Jabul Waters. I take the left path because it leads to a waypoint and our first Hyrule Field Stamp location at the base of the Palace.
I then backtrack to the waypoint and climb the ledge that separates the two paths. On top is a rock that has a Might Crystal under it. I then head Northeast on the ledge to where I'll see the Eastern side of the Palace. Up on a ledge is another Rock with a Might Crystal under it.
I then head West to where Sahasrahla can be found in ALttP. At that location is a monster camp, which if you've played BotW/TotK you know what I'm talking about. Amongst the defenders is a level 2 Spear Moblin. This is one of the best Anti-Air Echoes in the game, outclassed by just one Echo that I won't be getting just yet. Our prize is more Radiant Butter.
I then head north where I'll run into another Monster Camp. This one contains a level 2 Sword Moblin and this is arguably the best Echo in the game(outclassed only by the level 3 variant that I won't be getting for some time). I use this Echo a ton but defeating it is not easy since it has a shield. I pick off it's support Moblins with Caromadillo but then use Guay to attack the Sword Moblin from above. Our reward is a Monster Stone.
I then continue heading Northeast, following the path where I'll eventually come across a waypoint and a little hut. This hut is home to Dampé the Engineer but we won't be dealing with him for awhile yet but the waypoint is helpful for returning.
Up on the right ledge, you'll spot a single square of Soft sand. Use a Holmill to dig up the Might Crystal hiding there. Then head north into the Cave. Inside the cave, use Bind to move the Stone Boulder and a Path blade or Crawltula to hit the switch. Inside the chest is 3 Might Crystals. Then head West, hugging the ledge to where you'll find another Rock with a Might Crystal under it.
I continue West, jumping down into the river where I'll run afoul of Tekites. Bind holds them in place for easy KO. Continuing west takes me to an island with a cave. The chest inside contains Floral Nectar but to get it requires the Platboom echo we got in Gerudo Desert. Spawn a plat boom at the base of the rushing current and it'll take you up to the Chest. Despawn and exit.
West of the cave you'll find Ribbitunes or annoying Frogs that draws focus away from other monsters. Basically you can't deal with the Spear Moblins until they are dealt with.
Heading North and hugging the river, you'll eventually spot an island with a Stamp location. I've often debated whether to classify this as Hyrule Field or Hebra Mountain(a place we haven't gone to yet but will eventually). In either case, this is Stamp#2 for this part.
Back tracking and heading West will take us to a waypoint by the Graveyard. Just west of it is Sanctuary but is currently blocked by a minor Rift. Clearing it rewards us with 2 Might Crystals and the means to do an Acorn Game. There are 5 Acorn Games on the map. This one at Sanctuary is really easy and the reward for a fast time is a Golden Egg.
I then go into the Graveyard, lighting the torches to open the stairwell. Inside you'll encounter Ghosts or Ghini. They're attracted to Stuffed Toys so I grab that Echo for an upcoming fight. In the next room are more Ghini but the switch can only be hit by a Ghini. The next room has a mini+boss fight with a level 2 Ghini. Focus it down as best you can, using a Toy to occupy the level 1 Ghini. Once destroyed, our reward is a Golden Egg.
At the end of the path beyond Sanctuary is another Business Scrub for Smoothies. Good time to restock or acquire more recipes for the Accessory side quest.
Going to stop here. Part 5 will encompass the rest of Hyrule Field, Hyrule Ranch(Lon Lon), and Kakariko. Several Acorn games too.
Campaign Progress:
Might Crystals: 39/150
Heart Pieces: 8/40
Stamps: 7/25
Echoes: 56/127

Entry#5: Hyrule Field + Hyrule(Lon Lon) Ranch and Kakariko Village.
This is a reasonably long one. We start by warping to the waypoint that is near the Suthorn Prairie Shortcut(aka the Blocked Road Side Quest). South of the waypoint is a Monster Camp where the reward is Fresh Milk. Northwest of the waypoint you'll find a secluded alcove where a Heart Piece sits on top of a Tree stump guarded by a Pea Hat. At the Northwest corner of the alcove is a patch of sand. Holmill digs up a Might Crystal.
I then head West, following the road where it splits. West leads to Hyrule Ranch, a waypoint and our first Stamp of this Entry. North of the ranch is a waypoint so tag it before heading Southwest. Southwest of the Ranch is a small elevated area with a bush on it. Cut it to reveal a Might Crystal.
I return to the ranch and talk to the head rancher. Seems a Horse is missing. It can be found on a little island west of the ranch. To get the horse out, you need to build a bed bridge and ride the Horse out of there back to the ranch to complete the side quest. Our reward is riding any horse we want for free but there's no point because we will be getting one later in the game that is meant just for us. Plus waypoints kind of make Horse travel moot and Horses can't go everywhere.
Anyways northwest of where you find the Horse is a cave. Inside are 3 Sword Moblin guarding a chest with 3 Might Crystals.
Then head West where you'll see an Arrow on the map. Cut what it's pointing at to reveal a Might Crystal. Directly north you'll find a lake with monsters and a Heart Piece. Build a bed bridge to snag it. West of the lake is a waypoint along with another Acorn game location. It has Moldorm running around but shouldn't cause issues when playing the game. You need the Platboom or Crawltula echo to complete the mini-game though. The quick completion reward is a Steel Trap, which like the Golden Fan from Mango Rush is used by Dampé later in the game.
Now after getting the Steel Trap, I climb the western wall and head north. You'll come across a rock where moving it reveals a Might Crystal. North of that is another Stamp location. You'll then notice a cave but before jumping down, note the soft sand nearby. Use a Holmill to dig a hole and enter it. This takes you to a Heart Piece. Use Bind to exit the cave.
Then head East where you'll see a big Stone boulder. Use bind to move the boulder out of the way to reveal another Heart Piece(completing another Heart Container). Southeast of that is another Monster Camp whose reward is Electro Apples. East of that camp, up on a ledge is another Rock hiding a Might Crystal.
Then head North to Kakariko Village, it's waypoint and Stamp(#10 overall). The reward for 10 stamps is 3 Golden Eggs. Use them to make smoothies at the nearby Business Scrub and sell them for 75 Rupees each(since we'd be wasting their 20 Heart healing effect with the few Hearts we have now). I buy the Climbing Band accessory in the town shop for 500 rupees.
In Kakariko we can do the infamous lost Cucco side quest. Collect the Cucco and return them to their pin for the 2nd Fairy Bottle. We can then enter the Slumber Dojo on the southwest side of town to do side challenges. These challenges are necessary to get 100% and are a good source of smoothie ingredients. The first two challenges also result in a Heart Piece.
On the northwest side of town is a windmill. Just east of it is a patch of sand where Holmill digging results in a Might Crystal. Then turn around and head east to the other windmill. Head Northeast from there and you'll find another Acorn game spot. A Guay will attack you as you play so try to avoid it. Fast completion yields another Heart Piece.
East of that Acorn game is another cave but there is a patch of dirt on an elevated area just to the left of it. Use a Holmill to dig an opening and drop in to snag another Heart Piece. Take heed of the wood roller traps but make your way East to find a switch that when pressed opens the way to a chest containing a Golden Egg. Then exit the cave down the ladder.
I then warp to the North Hyrule ranch waypoint and head directly east. I eventually come to an area with Ignizol and a solitary bush. Cutting it reveals a Might Crystal. Northwest of that you'll find a waypoint and 5 rocks bunched together guarded by a Pea Hat. Remove the center one to reveal a Might Crystal. From there head NNE into ruins patrolled by Caromadillo. On top of one of the pillars is another Heart Piece(completing another Heart Container).
I then warp to Great Fairy island and buy two more Accessory expansion upgrades for 300 and 500 Rupees respectively. At this point I figured to stop in preparation for the venture into Jabul Waters.
Campaign Progress:
Might Crystal: 50/150
Heart Pieces: 16/40
Stamps: 10/25
Echoes: 58/127 Moldorm and Roller Trap were the only new ones. Surprised I didn't run into a Wolfos but I forget where they roam. Eh I'll get them on Hebra Mountain anyway. Part/Entry 6 coming soon.

Entry#6: Jabul Waters(Zora River + Zora Cove)
@Hades0918 Like what you see so far?
I warp to Eastern Palace waypoint and head south and around to the right path that takes me to Jabul Waters. Like with Gerudo Desert, entering the area causes a cutscene showing the various parts of the region. This area has three Echoes of note that you'll need. After the cutscene, I grab the waypoint and the first Jabul Stamp location north of Seesyde Village. In the Village, underneath a Pier is a Might Crystal.
Then from the waypoint, head directly north where you'll come across a patch of dirt on top of an elevated area. Use a Holmill to dig up a Might Crystal. From there head directly east where you'll come across a Monster Camp. Clear it for some Seahorses(new ingredient). Up on the ledge by the camp is a boy asleep. Turns out it's the son of a villager and she wants you to deliver him lunch(Grilled Fish). Successful delivery yields Bubble Kelp(new ingredient).
Head east and grab the waypoint by Crossflowa plaza. Make acquaintance with the local Business Scrub(who needs Bubble Kelp to open) and add new recipes using your new ingredients. Granted these smoothies are all but useless given accessories that come later.
Head up the ramp and make your way north to another waypoint by the Major rift itself. Head inside when prompted to do so by Tri. To enter the Den requires both Chiefs but it turns out they're squabbling.
To the west of the Den is a 2nd Stamp location. Then northeast of that is an important cave where you'll find one important Echo in the Bomb Fish. This guy effectively makes the Bombs we can use in Swordfighter mode moot. Finishing the cave rewards you with a Golden Egg.
Then head north to the Zora River village, activating the nearby waypoint. I buy the Zora Flippers in the shop for 350 Rupees and equip them. This increases swim speed and makes any smoothie with river horses moot, although you can still use them for even more speed since they additively stack(I just found it unnecessary). I then head north and enter the Chieftan Hut before he arrogantly storms off for Crossflowa plaza.
Upon exiting, I head West and climb to reach an area containing another Stamp. I drop down south and blow open the cracked wall for a chest containing the Silver Brooch accessory(makes Rupees appear more often). Continuing south will eventually run into a Monster Camp. Our reward is 3 Might Crystals.
I return to the village and head back to the third stamp location. I then turn north and then East to find a Heart Piece located at the very top of the map. I continue East, hugging the wall and blast open another cracked opening for a 50 Rupee chest.
I then warp back to the first Waypoint and blast open the cracked wall nearby for a 20 Rupee chest. From there I head SSW where I will come across a Ship. There you'll encounter the another Echo you'll need in Chompfin(a Shark). Bind him and pull him to an area north of the ship and drag him out of the water for an easy KO. Then go inside the Cave for two things: Hydrozol Echo(last echo you need) and another Heart Piece.
From here, head ESE to a point South of a rift area. At the seafloor is a cracked rock. Use a Bomb fish to reveal a Might Crystal. Then head east to Zora Cove and activate the waypoint. Head inside and talk to the Zora Chieftan therein. Turns out she's arrogant like her counterpart and storms off for Crossflows plaza.
Before heading there, I exit and head east to uncover another cracked rock on the seafloor. Blowing it reveals a Heart Piece. Nearby is also the 4th and final Jabul Stamp. We then head NW to an area near the coast where you'll see Sea Grass that looks different than the rest. Cutting it reveals a Might Crystal.
We then head to Crossflows Plaza where the squabbling continues. Ultimately Jabu Jabu swallows the assistants and goes on a rampage. I then warp to Zora River Village where a Minor Rift has appeared to the ENE. Mending the rift saves Dradd from a terrible fate. Before heading South to Zora Cove, I head West back towards an area where a child is learning to swim. After showing his mother three Echoes that we will easily have by now, we get the Zora Scale that permits us to hold our breath longer and like with the flippers, the effect stacks with Smoothies(I just don't see the point when the Accessory is all you need).
I then warp to Zora Cove and enter an underwater cave to the east to save Kushara and a child trapped inside. Upon saving them, they agree to let me inside the Den. Yet one obstacle remains, the fake Jabu Jabu. Defeating the fake is easy.
At this point I can clear either Major Rift but instead I'm going to explore the other three major regions first: Faron Wetlands, Eldin Volcano and Hebra Mountain, in that order. The game has us go there eventually but there isn't anything preventing you from going there early as just about everything is open to you.
Part 7 or Faron Wetlands slated to appear tomorrow.
