This is true for all and is an actually welcome change.
They also increased the exp share so if you're both attking the same wilds, instead of each of you getting say only 50%, you now get maybe 60% each. Which means that that initial down or up lane charge attking wilds in places like groudon stadium, you get more exp each by sharing those wilds rather than skipping. (Theres youtb videos explaining this better)
(i.e if there are four wilds going down the path and two purples, if you each ko separately two, we'll say you get 200 lvl up pts, but if you had shared and jointly attkd all four, that would be say 60 lvl up pts each or 240 pts for each trainer.)
Doing the math, it makes it more sense to share rather than skip. However, we also all need aeos energy to score (especially if you're holding certain held items that require you to score in order to stack, like the attk weight, cookie, or the blue sunglasses), so what I and a few squad members do is we watch each other's aeos energy pts stored as we lane, and if one isn't getting any aeos energy from our joint attks, we back off or take turns with the last hit. That way we both get some.
That said, there are certain stadiums, like Mer, Catchem, and Auroma Park where we don't share because it doesn't make sense. Easier to just go our own ways and meet up at the goals to score or defend or get rotom.
When i say in pokemon pick phase "I'll help with leveling up" that means or is my signal to others that I don't mind sharing wilds because I know we'll both level up faster than skipping every other wild. That wasn't always the case though, and that's why many returning players don't share or get salty. Believe me, the change has drastically cut down on in team fighting.
Oh, btw, i don't think anyone likes it when teammates snipe.... Just remember accidents happen especially when you're a ranged pokemon running by trying to get to a different target but your auto target accidentally goes to the wrong wild or one forgets to manually target away. So understanding each other is a good thing.

It's still good! You should have enough time to get him.

Palkia event will probably drop by the time I get Yveltal, and I saw a video of early access to Palkia, and he looks fun

I didn't mean to lecture you all. I just wanted those I play with to understand how I play....
It's cool if you all don't agree. Worse case is that we end up still being friends but rarely play matches.
Personally, I think it's better to understand how your potential teammates play in advance so you know how to work with them, compensate for them, or compromise our play styles if we so choose to.
