Few positive things about PTCGL: live (yet) shop, better visual, better Battle Pass. All of it can be and should be better than now. I remember with tears those happy days when I can take free booster pack of 11 (!) cards every 5th day without the need of playing TCG itself for every single day. I wish devs gives us more/free cards. Or kill the Shop. I'm more the collector than the player. I'm very tired.

coming back to this a year after the post to comment because i'm so upset and frustrated with it lol. when it first came out i hated it–the way it looks, the lag, the ui, the overcomplication–i quit on it after migrating my account because i lost all my hgss cards. 💔 finally relented after three years because i really missed ptcg, and its just as bad and unlikeable as i remember. i miss ptcgonline so much 😭

Unfortunately even at this stage the old TCG Online still had more features, even without counting the trading system.
To me, it was much more fun to play... with Expanded, Legacy and Theme formats, alongside the in-game tournaments... TCG Live is really missing those features that made the old game much more engaging and fun.

PTCGO had an actual CHAT on the main page. You could actually talk with other players…to do that with PTCGLive, you need discord or something
Or just fumble about with the stupid emotes…

Yes, it did... and I totally get what you mean... it's just one more feature missing in TCG Live... but let's be honest, barely anyone actually used it back then... and with how gaming culture is today, I bet it would just turn into pure toxicity.

Fair point, most players would probably end up laughing or badmouthing your deck or skills if the game bad-shuffled your deck into oblivion
still though, there are moments where I wish we could communicate in some way with other players outside of clicking a dumb emote
