Why do Pokémon speak?
This is a question I have wondered for a while (yesterday) and I got me thinking why do Pokémon speak their names? I have two theories. Ones boring, and the other is also boring.
I was researching yesterday about how Pokémon speak, and i read that Pokémon speak because of children. They speak to make it appear more likable to younger audiences.
This second theory is backed up by zero evidence by the time of posting this but I believe that they say their names on the anime, but in reality they just make grunts, croaks, barks, screams, and squishy noises only to the people in the pokemon world. We only hear there names because that's what tpc wants us to believe!

because so you dont forgot their name

Exception: Pikachu in many games says "PiKAchu!" and Eevee's cry sometimes resembles "Eevee" (though more like "eevoi!"

I assumed it was so kids would remember all the different kinds. That is just an assumption with no research, though.

"But you'll never be able to beat my Servine!"
"Servine!"
"A Servine?"
"Pika?"
"Servine!"
"That's Servine! It's gotta be!"4
