Champions Dropping the Pokeball for Casual Players

Quick post with feedback on today's news.

  • Certain mega stones being locked behind a paid battle pass is a bummer. Even if they're released later for free or in-game currency, it makes casual players trying to get into comp have to pay to play or have fewer options.
  • No multi-battles or service for 4-player variants. One of the few game modes my friends and I play in S/V is multis, incentivizing wild and non-competitive strategies with mons and moves that make it feel fresh and fun.
  • No confirmation of casual modes, like random singles/doubles, metronome battles, or any other gimmicky game-modes is a miss.

Out of the 1025 mons, and hundreds of moves, only a handful are competitive. In the service of competition, the FUN part of Pokémon battles is being lost. I was hoping Champions could deliver an experience that catered to battles for both casuals and comp players.

I hope these can be remedied before or shortly after release.
