Due to using 3 legendaries in my SwSh run, here's my PLA team!

    Team Leader: My Hisuian Samurott

    Second in Command: Hisuian Arcanine

Benchwarmer: Hisuian Zoroark (I'm sorry dude but your defenses dont cut it)

Underdog: Pachirisu (Literal legend right here)

The Sacrifice: Torterra (I gotta have SOMEONE spamming a powerful move, good luck spamming Headlong Rush little dude) Honorable mention to Appletun in SwSh using Draco Meteor (this is a common strategy for me to get heals off)

Temporary Teammate: Monferno (Hisuian Arcanine took his role, it was destiny)

I'd like to say that this is more for how I picture a Pokémon's personality. I may throw in one or two based on performance, but I aim to steer away from that (well, except just for show)

Tough One: My Armarouge in Violet. Even with Weak Armor that guy can take whatever the opponent is dealing. However, I've always pictured my Staraptor in Shining Pearl as a tough guy. It has Intimidate and I only taught it moves with some sort of back fire to it. I like to think that it just stares enemies down as it takes a recoil damage or something because it knows that it's tough enough to handle anything.

The Trickster: My Meowscarada. It feels like a playful little cat that likes to trick others for fun.

The Loving One: I went through a "Cute Charm and Attract" phase. I have a lot of Pokémon that match this in terms of battle. However, how I picture the Pokémon would be Ditto. This is a half-joke but it loves everyone!

Just For Show: I actually have two. So I'm awful at shiny hunting. However, I wanted a Shiny Ceruledge so badly that I spent a minimum of an hour in the dessert searching for a Shiny Charcadet. I found one and immediately started using it. However, this one isn't as strong as my normal Ceruledge so I often start fights with it but change moments later. I have another and that's Shiny Gyrados. I was casually driving around and saw a gold fish. A random Shiny Magikarp just swimming around! Caught it, evolved it, and took its picture for my profile. I never use it but I like to show it off.

The Duo: My Ceruledge and Armarouge. I have an entire strategy based on the two of them so they spend a lot of time together. I like to picture them as best friends.

My Best Friend: I would say Charizard but I've never had a Charizard show as much devotion to me as my first ever starter Cinderace. I don't remember who I was fighting but my Cinderace got hit and should have went down. Toughed it out so I wouldn't feel sad. That's normal. What's not normal is doing it three times in a row to secure that win! No Pokémon has ever toughed it out that many times for me before or after that moment. My bunny loves me more than anything else.

I wish they showed Pokémon with more personality. I think they try to with camping and picnicking, but it doesn't feel like much.

"The original pattern or model of which all things of the same type are representations or copies"

Basically, for example, the first route bird (Pidgey, Rookidee, Pidove, Squawkabilly, Fletchling) that's in every game is an archetype.
