"You did amazing but take a test," you say to Eevee. The dog barks happily as the beam takes it in, seemin much more confident than it was before. You then pull out Floragato's PokéBall and give it a quick spray of Potions before sending out the now healthy cat.

"Fighting with advantage," Denki states. With a chuckle, he pulls out a Terra Orb. "Sorry, but that won't work."

He is Terastylizing, you think. Probably into an Electric type. That's fine. Floragato will still take not very effective.

The Gym Leader gathers power into his ball and throws it at his fish. As soon as the orb makes contact with it, Lanturn gets covered with crystals. When the gems disburse, giant snowflake is on the opposing Pokémon's head.

"An Ice Type," you exclaim with surprise. Your cat backs up a bit.

"Yup," Denki replies happily. "Didn't expect that, did ya?"

"Not at all," you mutter. "It's fine, though! Floragato can handle this!" Your partner meows in agreement, standing up a bit taller. "Use Quick Attack!"

The Grass Cat sprints forward at blinding speed, crashing into Lanturn. The fish stumbles back a bit but doesn't seem too fazed. "Nice move but it's gonna take more than that to hurt us," your opponent says with a confident smile. "Use Ice Beam!"

The crystals on Lanturn's head shine brightly as it launches a large, cold blast from its mouth. "Dodge it," you shout. It's too late, though. The attack hits Floragato before it can move, encasing it in ice.

"Again, Ice Beam," Denki commands with a smirk. The fish shoots another powered up beam at Floragato. The cat can't move due to being frozen and is forced to take the hit, which leads to it being knocked out.

Short part, I know

I planned on doing this before y'all chose Floragato

Anyways, time to switch!
