I liked the "I love Malamar" commercials better than that. Maybe because I'm not a "normie" (well said, @TheJeffers ). Honestly, I would've rather seen one of the leaks from youtube or a compilation commercial celebrating the 30yrs of gaming (platforms & tcg), not celebs. Only thing is, they advertised specifically to this community to get us to watch the Superbowl with that trailer, so they hyped us up... then left us hanging : (

    Oh well.

Just because you don't like something doesn't mean that its enjoyed by "normies"

The ad was placed to advertise pokemon go and even though it sucks, it was still a cool to see other celebrities like pokemon. And THAT superbowl we all saw, isn't just a game. It's a part of a peice of history. Not just in the NFL, but political wise too. There has been a lot of heavy topics currently and a big one is not being accepted for who you are. Like rac1sm and h0mophobia. Both are something I've experienced in my lifetime. In my own words The BAD Bunny performance was a good representation for victims of both things I mentioned. And calling people normies for supporting this foundation is just either not aware of whats going on, or are racists and think others are out to hurt when 1/4th of the time are. And the other 3/4ths, it's people trying to start a new life in a better so called "free" country.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to try to get political. It's just something that I feel needs to be shared with more and I think people need to try to see both sides. But back to the pokemon stuff!

I do admit I got my hopes up for the teaser, but in the YouTube video it said 16th most streamed movie trailer on YouTube statistics, and based off of past released videos cough cough MEGA VICTREEBELL BEING LITERALLY NAME DROPPED IN THE LIVESTREAM DESCRIPTION WHEN IT WAS REVEALED cough cough. So I thought it meant a new movie or a Netflix adaptation that isn't anime. So yeah. I am kinda at fault

I think the Ad was fine, but I really liked the 20th anniversary one… The "I can do that!" and "Train on" was so cool…
Besides, we have Pokemon Day coming soon too, so it's not that big of a deal.

I still find another word could've been used instead of normie. The definition means a normal person and nobody is normal. In other peoples eyes, we might be seen as weird therefore countering the definition

I'm a superbowl viewer and I would be having this conversation if I wasn't. Ive actually been a football fan longer than a pokemon fan. And other people on the forums like @Hades0918 and @Dragonfly102024 watched the superbowl too. So that isn't all 100 percent. Hobbies overlap with eachother so saying 100 percent is just assuming things

@Candy0_o I'm sorry you've had to deal with all that. That's not right. I won't get into it any further here except to say I believe the term normies was used to describe people who are not currently pokemon fans (i.e. people who do not play any of the games, watch the animes, collect the cards or plushies, etc). Like saying the term civilians vs m1litary service members.
