If they do add them, they really need to redesign the avatar selection screen. Perhaps display one generation/region at a time, or display them grouped alphabetically.

Thought ocurred to me… why limit it to just Pokémon? What about characters like Red, Ash, Blue, Green, Brock, Misty, etc.

11. Other pokemon games, such as TCG Pocket, already have additional icons/avatars beyond gen 2 includes some trainers (many of the icons you have to earn there though)
