Gen 1

We all know this one

Missingno

It is so popular that in Vol.5 of our manga (when we get to it) Missingno will be Ange’s 2nd Pokémon

And it is pretty well known how to get it

  1. Talk to the Old Man in Viridion
  2. Fly to Cynabar Island
  3. Surf on the coast and BOOM the Glichy Block it’s self pops up

Fun Fact #1

We all know Missingno but do you know about ‘M

It is Misssingno’s Sister and is the same except the name

Fun Fact #2

Missingno. And ‘M every time you ENCOUNTER them (you can just Run) they will duplicate the 6-8th Item in your bag, even what in modern time would be “Key Items” like Gold Teeth or the Bike, of course the best things are Big Nuggets and Master Balls

Gen 2

Gen 2 is MUCH more stable and can hold 100 Extra Pokemon + The full Kanto Data but ther are still holes

Might I introduce you to Glitch Dimensions

If you do odd things you can enter Glitch Dimensions

The best way is to

  1. Look at Machop in the Pokèdex and Hear its cry
  2. Open the coin case

That’s it, yea it’s that simple

if you do it right the game will reset

When you open it you will be in a Glitch Dimension

Now what is a Glitch Dimension?

How it works is that it tricks the Game Boy Color its played on to think it on a Game Boy

Thus it changes EVERYTHING’S color to odd colors

Fun Fact

As discovered by the YouTuber PokeTips If you catch a Egg in the wild by hacķing it will also enter you into a DIFFERENT glitch dimension

Gen 3

now Gen 3 does not have 1 glitch Pokémon

It has 69,057 Glitch Pokémon all forms of the same one

Decamark

Now this is BUSTED!

If you use the “Glitch Gods” Dots the Seadot and “Pluses” the plusle you can Ace

No like ACE it stands for arbitrary code execution

This + RNG manipulation can get you almost any Pokémon you can dream of

Though if you’re doing RNG manipulation and ACE I recommend using the battle tower cloning glitch to make hundreds of them, the glitch corupts your PC boxes and makes the Pokémon turn into bad eggs, the best one is a Normal Egg, In A Nest Ball, With Pokerus

The best way to use Deacmark is using the Pomage Berry Glitch

  1. Get a Pokémon to 1 HP (Curse is your best option)
  2. Have no other Pokémon in your party
  3. Give it the Berry

now you will have no Pokémon standing, but your not in a Pokémon center

You can walk like normal but if you do battle

Because there are no Pokemon to pit against the enemy it uses Pokemon #000 Decamark (??????????)

Fun Fact

If you have the deaď Pokemon and a Egg it will send out the Egg

It will be a Red & White color scheme of the Pokemon it will hatch to (And has the Moves)

After hatching all stats (Lvl Ev Iv and others) are reset, BUT the Evolution Stage is not

Gen 4

In this game there is not just Dark Void

This is THE Void

If you move in jublife in a odd way the VOID will appear left of the town

No this can get you Event Mythical Pokémon if you do it right

Fun Fact

DO NOT TRY

Unlike Decamark and Missingno. The VOID can DESTROY your game

I would recommend Backing Up your save before entering in case you get soft locked or the game fails to load even

Bad Eggs are my personal favourite glitch, I've encountered them a few times (just not on a 3DS, DS, or GBA). The void is also cool, I've even explored it a few times, though I've never used it to get a Mythical in the original games (finding Mythicals required finding a guide and doing exactly what it says, no walking even 1 extra step to the left or forward, so I've never done it in the original games. I'm not sure if I've done it in the r*makes, and I don't want to check).

the fact gen 4 can destroy the game makes me think it shouldn't exist. Imagine if future glitches can do more damage.

Figure I’ll do my favorite from Gen 1 that is better than the old man glitch as it’s more stable if you know what you’re doing. I give you the Trainer Fly/Teleport glitch. Fly is preferred but can be performed with Teleport if you tag the right Pokémon Center beforehand. Now for it to work, you need a Long Distance Trainer or a Trainer that will fight you the moment they appear on screen. That is because when you move into their range, there is a split second where you can open the menu before the game registers that they spotted you. You cannot open the menu if they’re already on the screen since the time it takes to load their character sprite permits you to open the menu but with them already on screen, there is no delay.

Now the best one to utilize is the one west of Nugget Bridge in the grass on Route 24. Since you’ll battle everyone else on Route 24, he makes the perfect LDT since performing glitch requires that you battle a Trainer but on a different route than the one you glitched. Now when battling the other Trainer, their last Pokémon on their team is really important with respect to their Special stat. That is because their Special stat is utilized later to generate a wild Pokémon encounter from a Hexidecimal list. The Pokémon it pulls corresponds to the Special stat of the last Pokémon you encountered. If that Pokémon happens to be from that Trainer, then you’re all set. Yet if it doesn’t, you have to perform an extra step by involving Ditto, hence this glitch has another name in the Ditto glitch. Red/Blue players have it easier as Ditto appears on Route 15(East of Fuchsia) while Yellow players have to go to Cinnabar Island and the Mansion basement for theirs. You then have Ditto transform into the Pokémon with the Special stat desired so when using Ditto, swap to the Pokémon you want copied and then run from the battle. Go back to Cerulean or wherever your LDT happens to be and you’ll initiate a wild battle with that Pokémon in the Hexidecimal list. This means RBY players can completely fill their Pokédex without the need to trade. These Pokémon spawn in at level 7 but it’s possible to have them spawn at level 1. To do so, you have to lower the Attack stage of the last Pokémon encountered. Each stage reduction reduces the level by 1, hence -6 stages results in a level 1 encounter. Level 1 never occurs in Gen 1 so if you catch a level 1 and purposely have it not gain enough XP to grow to level 2, it bugs and jumps to level 100.

This glitch also works to duplicate items with a Special stat of 182-184. It’s stable and works 100% of the time. Just have item you want duplicated in 6th item slot and works when performing the above glitch but requires using Ditto.

ahh the old Trainer-Fly Glitch, I did not say it only because Misssingno is the most famous glitch of all time
