Scarlett First Impressions(Switch 2) and more

No rush. I didn't even get on Scarlett this evening. Been doing Skywalker Saga instead lol. I'm on Mission 4 of Episode 2 or effectively the first Battle of Geonosis. Have to replay it in Free Play to grab the remaining Mini Kits(can only get 1 in Story mode) and then somehow do the final challenge of influencing one of the Animal Beasts to attack the others. Thought I did it in Story Mode but apparently not. I unlocked the x8 Stud Multiplier so I'm up to x384. The last one or x10 is 384kk Studs but when you're collecting 3,840 from silver, 38,400 from Gold, 384k from Blue and 3.84kk from the rare Purple, it won't take that long. I spent a lot of Studs and Kyber Bricks on Core Hero upgrades, notably the Stud Vaccum upgrade that sucks in Studs in a large radius that makes collecting Studs insanely easy. I don't even know how much time I've put into this but I estimate I got another 50 to go.
The plan for me the next time I get on Scarlett is to do a lot of Evolution grinding provided you're not available for the Trades. If you are then I'll postpone that in lieu of doing the next two Gyms, maybe Kofu's too but I have to grab an Ice Stone so that I can get Freeze Dry for Alolan Ninetales(that or simply put Leaf Blade on Gallade and roll over him). Might also do the 3rd Titan as well given its level 29 if memory serves. Once all of that is taken care of, I'll do more Evolutions, including Eevee's Friendship Evolutions(Umbreon + Espeon + Sylveon). I can do 4 of the 5 Evolution Stones for Eevee after Iono via Delibird Presents. The last one requires an Ice Stone and theres a finite amount with at least 2 in the regional Dex requiring it(including Glaceon). Blueberry Dex has two more(Alolan Sandshrew + Vulpix) so I'll have to find 3 eventually(4 for Alolan Sandshrew when I trade for it). Finite amount of Dawn and Dusk Stones too, although Sun Stones shouldn't be too hard to find.

What he means is that you can force a regional variant to be bred when it normally wouldn’t. An example is Ponyta on Sword/Shield. Breeding Kanto variant results in a Galarian unless the parent holds an Everstone to force a Kanto variant result. I don’t know if the same applies on Scarlett/Violet with respect to Vulpix since I too haven’t done much breeding but if you want to ensure that a regional variant is bred, an Everstone effectively ensures it. It also guarantees the Nature of the parent as well so with Ninetales, pretty much Timid or Modest works. Even if it doesn’t have the right Nature, it only really matters in the postgame where that 10% comes into play. IV’s aren’t that important either as they can be maxed via Bottlecaps and EV’s can be reset via Berries and then battling certain Pokémon with EV items equipped or using Vitamins.

yeah pretty much, you can also use nature mints to change your nature stat boosts* and mirror herb exists to teach egg moves so sv makes it more accessible to work with existing mons in general
(technically this doesn't change your original nature in the summary, which technically matters for flavour and the berries that confuse you based on disliked flavours will still base off that)

So a rather big update to post here after having played for the past few days. I decided to beat the 3rd Titan with my level 31 Gallade, which unlocked the high jump and then journeyed around the map, tagging Pokémon Centers as way points for quick travel. While doing that, I think I managed to catch the base form of just about everything save for Glimmet, Area Zero Paradox Pokémon(including box Legendary), the other starters and Violet exclusives. I still have a plethora of Pokémon to evolve, including Trade Evolutions like Scyther → Scizor but if I level up Gallade more(not expected to use him in any meaningful fight going forward until E4), I can make short work of things by taking advantage of Chansey and the huge XP they yield. Yet I managed to evolve the following: Wugtrio, Masquerain, Talonflame,Pelipper, Hariyama, Barraskewda, Ampharos, Flores, Kricketune, Vespiquen, Mabostiff, Staraptor, Luxray, Grumpig, Arboliva, Lokix, Garganacl, Drifblim, Corviknight, Maushold, Gogoat, Honchkrow, Hypno, Banette and did in game trade for Gengar. Currently working on Tinkaton, Venomoth, Bronzong, Pyroar and Ursaring. I got a Gardevoir that has been pulling a ton of weight(now level 50) with not just those evolutions but also catching a ton of Pokémon too(56 overall). The batch includes Lake Pokémon that were a pain to catch with just 1 Badge but eh it’s possible.
@Hades0918 I only plan to trade for Alolan Vulpix and Drilbur Saturday. In the future I’d like to do Trade Evolutions and grab Violet exclusives. No idea what you want for them but lmk if you want the Scarlett counterparts. I won’t do Kitakami or Blueberry until the post-game so initially just Paldea regional Dex with respect to exclusives but not until I’ve caught up on what I already have. Figure I got 100 evolutions to do and if I get Gallade up to speed, I can fast track things by crushing Chansey and using meal recipes(which I need to read up on). I intend to do the Gyms and Nemona fights with those two Blueberry Pokémon, starter(which is resting comfortably in the box) and Stunky that I caught a few days ago. Might have Golduck tag along too if only for passive XP since his work is largely over until E4 and postgame.

You sure? I caught my first shiny(ever, no lie) tonight. A shiny Vespiquen while rolling around Ortega’s base hunting for Chansey/Blissey. I do need to hunt for Ice Stones since Crabominable, Glaceon, Cetitan and the two Blueberry Alolan types all require it to evolve. Also have to hunt for another Dawn and Dusk stone for Froslass and Misdreavus respectively(latter of which I got time since it’s a Violet exclusive). Also have to hunt for other evolution items like for Slowking and acrue the needed materials for Armarouge(which won’t be that hard). Finished a few more Evolutions too but I got to call it a night. I do have one more straggler Pokémon to get that I completely forgot about in Rotom. Will do that next time I’m on. Got insanely lucky with Spiritomb with a Quick Ball.
