Battle of the Birds: Round 1 Pairing 6
I'm tired and have a lot on my mind
I'll try to become more consistent
I am trying to be balanced with this pairing, so I chose two that nullify each other
The bird that brings the Thunder, Kilowatrel, versus the gliding scorpion with no Poison type, Gliscor!

My moveset would be Sandstorm, Rock Slide, Earthquake and Aerial Ace. Rock gives Ice + Flying coverage(which you need with x4 Ice), Earthquake STAB for Rock, Fire, Steel and Electric that is dumb enough to be out there, and Aerial Ace to deal STAB with Grass + Bug. You don't need Double Team as long as Sandstorm is up(20% Evasion from that via ability + 10% less accuracy/Evasion via item).
Overall it's an interesting set. I've always hated Evasion if permitted to set up. Was even worse in Gen 1 and 2 when Evasion and Accuracy stacked(and were independent so -6 states on accuracy combined with +6 stages on Evasion was basically overkill but almost impossible to hit save via Swift or moves that ignore hit check).
As for topic, Gen 4 wins.

I honestly expected it to be closer than it is…
I thought I was brilliant!
"Killowatrel has advantage over opposing Flying types with Electric but Gliscor doesn't take damage being Ground type but can't hit the Electric side since Killowatrel is still Flying. I'm a genius!"
