I was reminded why this game needs serious help
I decided to come back to UNITE after a few months of not playing much, and let me tell you I REGRETTED it hard. I was genuinely disgusted by the game I played. Here's what happened.
I queue into the game. My team looks pretty decent, with me as an Empoleon and a few other good mons on our team. The enemy team has good mons too, with Zapdos and Typhlosion (notice a pattern?). The start of the game was bad, with Absol destroying our weak lanes despite us having Buzzwole, which is broken in lane. When I go for my second jungle farm, possibly the most toxic throw I have seen in months was performed by our Blastoise. Just as I was about to hit level 7 and try and free up an enemy goal so our team can gain some ground, they steal the hit on my jungle farm. I was a tiny bit away from my power spike, and my 'teammate' just made me half as strong as I should have been going into that fight. They're straight up stealing the central area that I was very obviously farming. I was not very happy. After that, the game was just the enemy Typhlosion using a disgustingly broken move to OHKO our underleveled carries. The final fight was an uncoordinated mess and we ended up losing to a landslide. All because of one troll and one game balance issue. At least I had some of my honour left, with the opposing Absol being a genuinely good player.

Yeah, that sounds like a mess. I've been on random teams like that in ranked too. (Believe me, CP has heard me rant after particularly bad team games, many many many times. No, she wasn't on them.)
Just remember not all players are like that and unfortunately random queued matches you never know who you'll end up with or against.
TBH, Zados is one of those I vote to ban for lately, their reach is better than my Articuno's, I think. Typhlosion is squishy early game so take him out asap and as much as possible. Absol was buffed in the last round of patches (even though he didn't need it). It almost sounds like you were against a "meta" team. 🤔. Those are tough to beat but it can be done IF your teams acts like a team, which in your case (and many others) they didn't.

Unfortunately in those middle ranks, some people pick meta teams while others barely know what objectives do. I wish that matchmaking would even out the teams a little so they would have some meta players and some noobs on each side.
