(We're already at 15!? My gods…)

— — —

Snow taps her claw on the desk table, watching the stat screen Dexter created for who's most likely to win the school vote. A random student named Elaine that stepped up after Zane was expelled is the lowest, being at 5%. Snow is second, having a 12% chance at victory. Who's most likely, you ask? THUR WITH AN 83% CHANCE OF BECOMING PRESIDENT!!! Snow growls as she watches a percent drop from her chances to Thur as more people chatter about the Umbreon's greatness.

"I don't get it…" The Hisuian Zoroark grumbles. "That stupid Dark type has done absolutely nothing to prove he's worthy of this power yet there is practically zero chance of him losing!"

Obsidian, Snow's right hand man and best friend Ceruledge, gently pats her on the back. He practically never speaks and usually lurks in the shadows, but he's always there. The Normal/Ghost type sighs with exhaustion, resting her head in her paws.

"Thanks," she mutter, understanding this as his idea of comforting her. It doesn't help much, but it's the thought that counts. "I just wish there was a way to get these votes on my side…"

"You zztill haz a chance," Dexter states, trying to sound optimistic. "Thoze numberzz could change at any zecond!"

"If any change they'll go up for him and down for me," Snow snaps, immediately regretting it as Dexter flinches. "Sorry," she tells him softly. "I'm just frustrated with all this. These numbers aren't completely true. There's a chance I could get literally zero votes!"

"Nuh-uh," Dexter replies, shaking his head (well, whole body, honestly). "You alwayz haz Vee'zz vote! That'zz one!"

Obsidian nods his head in agreement, but Snow shakes her head. "That's not enough," the Baneful Fox states, leaning back in her chair. "You're not wrong, but I need more!" The three of them sit silently for a bit, the only sound being Dexter's occasional "zzrt." But out of nowhere, Snow leaps to her feet, suddenly filled with excitement. "I've got it!"

"What," the Rotom inquires. Obsidian doesn't say anything, but he leans forward in his seat, also interested.

"All we have to do…" the wanna-be president says as she pulls out her phone to text a certain Sylveon, "is get some dirt on Thur. If he's done absolutely anything shady, I'll expose him. Society will lose their interest in him and I'll gain all those votes!" Snow laughs with pure joy at her own brilliance, pressing send on her message for Vee to come meet with her. "It's genius!"

The Ceruledge nods along, looking obviously impressed. Dexter, on the other hand, doesn't look as enthused. "But izn't that againzt the rulez…?"

Obsidian scoffs and rolls his eyes. He's never been one to care about rules. "Not if I'm not the one doing the actions," Snow answers as she walks out the door to meet up with her loyal Sylveon.

Vee timidly walks under the tree Snow told her to go to. The text explicitly states for her to be alone, which makes the Intertwining Pokémon a bit uncomfortable. Vee looks around, but no sign of the Hisuian Zoroark. Thinking she has the wrong tree, the Sylveon begins to leave to a different one.

"HEY!!! Don't go," Snow's voice hollers. "Sorry I'm late," she says breathlessly as she slows to a stop in front of Vee. "I… accidentally… took… a wrong turn."

"Oh, you're fine," Vee tells her. As Snow catches her breath, the Sylveon just stands there awkwardly, looking around at the scenery she's already seen many times before. After one last deep breath the wanna-be prez gets straight into it.

"I need you to do something for me," she states bluntly, her eyes narrow and cold.

"O-Oh, uh, what is it," Vee nervously asks, never seeing this side of the Hisuian Zoroark before.

"I need you to get me information that will ruin Thur's reputation," Snow tells her.

"Oh, well that's easy! Thur has bullied me since kindergarten," the Eeveelution responds. Snow's right eyebrow raises with interest.

"Wait, he's a jerk to you," she inquires, getting excited when Vee nods. "That's perfect! Wait, no, that's bad. But for taking him down that's perfect! Why haven't you said anything?"

"I-I don't really enjoy being center of attention," Vee admits shyly. "If I were to stand up against him everyone would stare at me. It's hard enough already when I get looks of concern for what happened with Zane. I don't want to add more to it…"

"Look, any other time I would respect your boundaries, but my future is relying on your tragic sob story," Snow explains, her tone dead pan. "Please do this for me."

Vee wants to say no. She genuinely does. But she also knows how much Snow needs this. And she REALLY doesn't want Thur to be class president. "Alright, fine," she says with a sigh of defeat.

"Thank you," Snow exclaims happily, giving Vee a quick hug before running off. "I need to do some planning but I'll see you later," she shouts over her shoulder as she goes.

Welp… Vee thinks to herself. Time to talk in front of the entire school about something that'll probably make me cry and possibly even embarrass myself for the sake of politics! Hehe… Nothing to worry about!

Charz is walking down the halls with Gwen and Aquaria. As they pass other students, he receives a mix of looks of admiration and hate. Half the school praises Charz for coming out and admitting what was happening. They say it was courageous of him for doing it. The other half looks down on him for taking so long and standing by for most of it. Charz personally agrees with the second half…

"Hey, don't take it too personally," Gwen tells him as a Mankey gives the Charizard a side eye as he passes. "Not everyone is willing to see that you've changed."

"But we know you have, so don't worry about the haters' opinions," Aquaria states, giving him a reassuring smile.

"Yeah… thank," Charz replies, forcing himself to return the smile. "That truly does mean a lo-"

"Wow, so y'all are hanging out again," a familiar cruel voice asks from behind them. The three of them groan with annoyance as they turn to see Thur approaching, his signature smirk plastered onto his face as always. "So I take it y'all didn't learn from the last time he ditched ya. Don't start crying when he ditches you for the cool kids again!"

"Shove off, Thur," Gwen growls, taking a step in front of Charz protectively. "He's learned from his mistakes."

"Oh, I'm sure he claims he has," the Umbreon states, his smirk widening. "You know, I wouldn't be surprised if next time he gets bored he just-"

"What's going on here," Snow's voice cuts in as she comes around the corner.

"Oh, hey it's the short girl," Thur exclaims, laughing when the Hisuian Zoroark growls at him. "Don't get so worked up! I'm just giving these two ladies some friendly advice."

"Yeah, right…" Aquaria grumbles under her breath.

"That's very kind of you, Thur," the tiny fox states, her voice sounding kind but her eyes delivering a completely different message, "but I think these three would like to go enjoy their lunch now."

"You're probably right," Thur replies, his tone and expression contradicting the same way Snow's did. He then turns to the trio again. "Sorry for holding you up." He then walks past them, intentionally "accidentally" shoving into Charz.

"Hey, tha-" as Charz goes to thank Snow for stepping in, she just begins to walks off, muttering to someone in her earbud beneath her breath.

"Well, she's right. I'm ready for lunch," the Gequa tells the others. "Can we go to the cafeteria now?"

"Yes, please," Charz replies, the three continuing in the direction they were originally going.

Tric is in the gymnasium helping Vee hang up streamers for the dance tomorrow night. As they work he contemplates if he should ask Vee to the dance. I mean, we're dating, so it should be obvious we're doing it together, he thinks, glancing over at the Sylveon as she straightens up a picture. But what if she wants me to ask anyways and finds it rude or disappointing that I just expected?

"Hey, Tric," Vee says, snapping the Luxray out of his thoughts. "Would you mind helping me practice for something?"

"Uh, yeah, sure," Tric replies, not needing to know what she needs before agreeing. "What are we practicing?"

"Well I need to make a speech in front of the school and I'm worried about how it will go," she explains. "So I want you to help me plan out what I'm gonna say to make it easier."

So a homework assignment, the Electric type thinks. Not too hard.

"Yeah, that's no problem," he states confidently. Vee gives him that shimmering smile that makes his heart melt and stomach flutter.

"Thank you so much," she exclaims, giving him a quick tight hug. "You're the best! I'll meet you at Gwen's place after school!"

"Sounds good," Tric agrees, unable to stop his smile as he watches her walk away.
