I've always found it fascinating how we speak the same language but also have different words for the same thing. Like different dialects but not quite. Hmmmm... Here are other words that I've noticed:
AmericanEnglish : EnglishEnglish
- Apartment : Flat
- Counter : Bench (I think?)
- Trunk : Boot
- Hood : Bonnet
- Elevator : Lift
- Soda : Pop (maybe?)
hmmmm I know there's more I just can't think of them right now… after all it is just after 5am here 🙂
(Is here a different word used for a couch or sofa? What about a lollipop?)
