Which starter are you choosing?
The Grass type is called Browt (category: Bean Chick Pokémon), the Fire type is called Pombon (category: Puppy Pokémon), and the Water type is called Gecqua (category: Water Gecko Pokémon).
Pombon looks cool, but it also looks a little bland and too simple despite all the little details it has (fire-shaped hair, fire-like mane, the ball of heat under its throat). I really hope its evolutions make up for it. I was going to put it as 3rd with a comment saying I have a feeling it'd grow on me, but it immediately did. It might return to that spot, though, if its evolutions don't look good.
Gecqua has the coolest design and looks like if a fusion of Inteleon and Greninja became an unevolved Pokémon, and even sounds like it in all the descriptions (the one on the article on the normal Pokémon website and the one in the official Winds and Waves website). Because of that (especially how much it resembles Greninja), I have a bad feeling about it, but I like it so far.
Browt is last. I don't hate it, but I just prefer the others. It looks like it was designed to look a little ugly on purpose, so I have a feeling they'll make its final evolution look cool (like a Grass type Blaziken or Cinderace) because of that. Like how Sobble starts out timid and anxious but becomes cool and calm when it evolves into Inteleon. With how much the descriptions emphasise its liveliness and clumsiness, though, I can see it becoming something cheery as well.

None of the above. Probably not going to get it and my pick isn’t influenced by looks but more so on two factors: Water/Fire/Grass alternatives and what typing the final forms will have. I swear that if the fire starter is Fire/Fairy I will raise Holy Fury the likes of which have not been seen. Also you’d think they’d come up with better trainer attire and those Pikachu look ugly ngl.

I'm gonna be flat honest- this is the hardest pick I think I've ever done for starters and I mean that in a bad way. Gecqua is kinda cute but seems very feminine to me, what with the eyelashes. If I choose it, I will reset until it's a girl because otherwise it'll feel weird to me. Browt looks like a fakemon my little bro would make, and also like a weird blend of Torchic and Rowlet. And Pombon… if he becomes a four-legged wolf, I will love the guy. If he starts standing on his hind legs or becomes like a lion or something… mm, no thank you. I can't pick. NOT Browt. I might be overreacting, I hated Paldea's starters when they were announced, but still, I have a bad feeling about them…

I think i am the same with what you sayed a long time ago. You said you didnt belive that the starters in scarlet and violet are oficial and thats how i feel with these. Well also this is my first time seeing a new region so i dont tink im used to new pokemon.
