Two months later and the change that was made is still in effect. I've chatted with others in-game and they too do not like this. We want to be able to choose during the match. Just like we did prior to two months ago. Make it happen!

I would also like to point out, that it was promised that we would be able to see the opposing team's composition prior to selecting our moves/attacks.

And I quote, from @TPCi_GarbageKing's announcement:

    Battle Prep

If you would like to select your Pokémon’s moves after seeing your allies’ and opponents’ team composition, you can select them in Battle Prep.

That has not happened. The only times we are allowed to see the other team's composition is if it is a ban/draft style match (as in Masters and above ranked matched, tournaments and custom ban/draft matches) and if you play the solo challenges.

So, what about the other matches and stadiums?

Any ranked matches with at least one Ultra or lower level trainer and they do not see the other team's composition.

Any casual stadiums, regardless of who is playing, you do not see the other team prior to the move selection opportunity.

Any quick battles/stadiums you do not see the other team's composition either.

IMO the easiest solution is to add an option selection in the game play settings. Flip it on and you get to choose in game. Flip it off and you have to preselect moves.

Then, everyone would be happy..... well, at least regarding this issue.

Totally agree with that, because if you are not in draft, you cannot adapt your movesets to the opposing team's Pokemon.. 😥
