Ava's Perspective

I let out a heavy, worried sigh as I pace the the same circle I have been for the past hour and a half, my red sneakers squeaking as I walk. I glance up at the for what feels like the millionth time. I sent Cass out to get groceries three hours ago! I hope he's okay. What if the Malamars got him…

I gasp, stopping in my tracks. No way they got Cass! He's too strong! Plus he has Embers! I've never seen a Delphox at that level. There's no way it can be defeated. But…

I look up at the clock again and groan, a tight knot forming in my stomach. Anyone is beatable, especially when it's a whole army attacking them. He may have been beaten by the Malamars and turned to a Malamarian. Or worse. He could have been-

"I'm back," Cass shouts, snapping me out of my dark train of thought. I sigh with relief.

"Took you long enough," I reply, walking to the door to greet him. My eyes narrow when I see a stranger with him. I clench my fist and pull out a Pokéball. "Who are you," I demand as a statement.

The stranger chuckles nervously as I look him up and down. There's not much to take in. He's wearing all black and his long brown hair is a mess in a loose ponytail. "I'm Hades," he says, taking a small step forward and reaching his hand out.

"Back off," I shout, releasing Chewy, my Raichu. He growls at Hades, teeth bared and sparks flying from his cheeks. Hades steps back, putting his hands up.

"Calm down," he says. I just glare at him.

"He's with me, so it's okay," Cass says, taking a step forward. I growl at him, Chewy doing the same.

"How do I know that for sure, huh," I ask. "You've been gone for three hours! You might be hypnotized."

"He's not," Hades says, stepping towards Cass. "I saved him before they could."

I scoff. "Yeah, right! For all I know you're the one that got them hypnotized! Cass then told his 'friends' about my organization and now y'all are here to lure me out and get me," I state, letting them know I know their plot and I'm not scared. Hades has the audacity to laugh!

"What!? No! Let us explain," Hades says, stepping forward. I don't let him get past one step.

"Thunder," I command and Chewy squeaks loudly as it blasts a giant bolt of electricity at them. Cass yelps as he leaps and rolls out of the way. Hades simply twists, the Thunder barely missing him. When he faces me, his face no longer shows a hint of understanding or kindness. He looks serious.

"I didn't want to fight," he says, his hand traveling to his pocket. I roll my eyes and scoff. Hades pulls out a Pokéball and tosses it. "But I will is I have to."

I expected a Malamar because that's the only thing the Malamarians are allowed to use. But to my surprise a Charizard pops out. It stands to its full height and spreads its wings (I have a huge underground base) and howls aggressively. I nod in understanding.

"That's all I needed to see," I say and Chewy relaxes. Hades tilts his head to the side with a confused expression and the Charizard growls in question. "The Malamarians don't use anything except Malamars." Hades chuckles. "What," I ask, confused.

"Malamarians," Hades repeats and laughs. "That's a funny term. I like it!"

I groan with annoyance. "Cass, why is he here?"

"Like he said, he saved me, Ava," Cass says and Hades nods in agreement.

"From what," I ask, concerned. Cass hates interacting with people he doesn't know.

"The Malamars," Cass replies.

"You and Embers couldn't handle them," I question with shock. Cass shakes his head. "What happened at the grocery store?"

"Well..." Cass begins his story of his simple trip for food.

Back to our favorite Main Character Hades!

"And that's when Hades swooped in with Char and saved me," Cass finishes with a heavy sigh. Ava looks at me, her silver eyes soft.

"I thought y'all were being overdramatic, but no. You actually saved him. Thank you," she says, her pink, shoulder length hair falling over face as she bows her head. I shake my head.

"There's no need for thanks. I'm just glad I was there. He would've been done for if I weren't there." I look at Cass. "We're lucky Char chose to fly in that direction." Cass nods in agreement.

We sit there in silence for a little bit, Ava fidgeting absent-mindedly with her black hoodie's strings. She speaks up first. "Do you want to join our organization?"

I'm taken aback at first, but I shake it off. "How many people are in this organization? There's only enough rooms here for three people. Four if someone sleeps in the living room. I don't want to make the place too crowded."

"Well right now it's just us," Cass says, looking at me hopefully. "We could use another member."

I nod. "Sounds good, I'm in," I say with a smile. Ava and Cass smile excitedly back.

"You won't regret it," Cass says happily, punching my shoulder lightly. Ava nods in agreement.

"No way you will when you hear our name," she says, practically bouncing out of her seat to say it. I give her what she wants.

"What's our name," I ask with a smirk. Both Cass and Ava stand up.

"We are," Ava says, smiling wide.

"Dramatic pause," Cass says, putting both of his index fingers up.

"The Malamar Hatars," Ava exclaims, Cass doing jazz hands behind her. I chuckle awkwardly.

"Is the name still under development," I ask, scared this is really what I'm going to be called.

"No," Ava says, confirming my fears. "We are…"

"Dramatic pause," Cass says, raising his index fingers again.

"We doing this again," I ask but Ava talks over me.

"The Malamar Hatars," she exclaims, spreading her arms out dramatically and Cass doing his jazz hands again.

I sigh. "Well it explains exactly what y'all are, just making it rhyme," I chuckle. "And I already agreed to it. I assume it's too late to back out?"

"Yes," Ava replies, Cass nodding his head vigorously behind her. I let out a defeated sigh.

"Alright," I say, standing up with them, smiling and offering my fist. They smile and bump it.

"Well I'm off," I say, walking to the door. They look at me with confusion.

"Why," Cass asks sounding offended. Ava's lower lip in a disappointed pout.

"To get groceries," I reply with a smirk. "Someone couldn't do their job right," I wink at Cass.

He rolls his eyes and Ava laughs. "Don't forget the watermelon," she shouts.

I smile and give her a thumbs up as I leave. I sigh happily as I walk through the tunnel, excited to see where the future takes me and my newfound friends.

I LOVE HOW THIS TURNED OUT!!!

I was iffy on how I felt about Ava at first, but I really like her!

So I never found a place to include her black shorts. Just to fully explain, Ava wears a black hoodie with black shorts and red sneakers. She has pink shoulder length hair and silver eyes.

Anyways, sorry for the wait and here's Six!
