Help with mega Lucario ex

Use cards that makes you discard cards from your hands for benefits. Cards like Professor's Research, Ultra Ball, N's Zoroark, Cycling Road, and others like that. This will get Energies into your discard pile but also give you needed cards for the strategy. For example, use the Ultra Ball and discard two energies, then get Mega Lucario from your deck. Now you can evolve your hopefully active Riolu and attach the cards you just discarded to your benched Pokémon. Make sure to have cards to get Pokémon out the discard pile, though, in case you use a Professor's Research and have to discard valuable Pokémon with it.

A strategy I've been thinking for this card is to use Cynthia's Garchomp. Its two energy attack makes you discard all energies attached to it. It also has no retreat cost. You can use this powerful move, retreat your next turn for Mega Lucario, use its one energy attack, reattach the energies to Garchomp, then use a switch next turn and restart the cycle. For this strategy, cards like switch, Air Balloon, Rescue Board, etc will be needed.
