Pokémon from Z-A cannot be transfered or returned to other games

I was very disappointed to learn that not only will it take until 2026 for the game to be compatible with Pokémon Home, rather than being ready from day one, but it will not be possible to export Pokémon from Z-A to other games in the series. This will include Pokémon originally from those games transfered to Z-A.

What is the point of this restriction? Isn't the point of Pokémon Home, and the reason Game Freak insist on charging a subscription fee, to allow us to transfer our Pokémon between games?

The app is already capable of transfering Pokémon between generations and even games with very different mechanics and stats for Pokémon like PLA. It simply converts the Pokémon's stats and learned moves to those compatible with the target software. Why cannot similar functionality be provided in this case?

Is there no chance of this decision being revised, or an update in the future allowing transfers from Z-A to other games?

Very disappointing if this will be the state of affairs for this and future games going forward.
