Pokémon from Z-A cannot be transfered or returned to other games

I was very disappointed to learn that not only will it take until 2026 for the game to be compatible with Pokémon Home, rather than being ready from day one, but it will not be possible to export Pokémon from Z-A to other games in the series. This will include Pokémon originally from those games transfered to Z-A.
What is the point of this restriction? Isn't the point of Pokémon Home, and the reason Game Freak insist on charging a subscription fee, to allow us to transfer our Pokémon between games?
The app is already capable of transfering Pokémon between generations and even games with very different mechanics and stats for Pokémon like PLA. It simply converts the Pokémon's stats and learned moves to those compatible with the target software. Why cannot similar functionality be provided in this case?
Is there no chance of this decision being revised, or an update in the future allowing transfers from Z-A to other games?
Very disappointing if this will be the state of affairs for this and future games going forward.

Aw, come on! I was gonna take a Absol and Raichu out of Z-A to put in Champions for a special team…
It probably has something to do with the real-time battling, but like you said, in PLA (and GO too I think) they just mess with the stats, so why not in Z-A?1 -
GO is one way, but that is a smartphone app from a different developer. PLA is one of Game Freak's own games, of course, and it allows two-way transfers. There is no reason something similar couldn't be done for Z-A.

I think you can put ZA pokemon into champions but nothing else…

I suspect it will likely be compatible with Champions, yes. I wouldn't be surprised if you need Pokémon from Z-A for the megas to be accessible in Champions, and the new megas will probably be particularly competitive to drive sales.

Honestly GameFreak if you are listening to the forums fix this.

If you read carefully it says no transferring to PREVIOUS games so I think this is because we are getting a new console just like how you can’t send a Pokemon from home to a 3ds. Although it still is a dumb idea.
