Should the Pokémon series return to 2D games?

@TheJeffers That would be rather curious.

as a disabled gamer, I would love 2D/2D.5 to make a comeback in the mainline games, legends and other spinoffs can keep 3D

I don't quite understand the connection. Is 2D easier to see for those with visual impairments? Is it easier to control on a 2D grid than a 3D world, and can be done one handed if necessary?
It's not an angle I had considered, but I suppose it could be considered another potential benefit of 2D.

No.

Why not?
"Because 3D more gooder"?
Or do you have other reasons?

I'm physically disdisabled and use an adaptive controller

Easier to control, I use an adaptive controller, I'm physically disabled

i'm glad Nintendo seems to release what the audience wants. After being in the toy industry and even dedicating a museum the selling of consoles seems to be a hindsight. Looking back Nintendo seems to release what the audience wants. And the audience wants to be more swept up in the game they choose. So play what comes naturally to you. We love people who love playing games.

Fair enough. I can understand how controlling a 2D character on a grid with 4 directional movement would be easier to manage.
I am glad you have found a controller solution that works for you. I was going to ask about those kinds of controllers.
Do you mind me asking what exactly your disability is and how it affects your gaming.
If you do not feel comfortable answering, feel free to ignore the question. I was just curious.
