Trading - Seeing friends collections

the idea of trading is great, but why can’t you see your friends collections so you can see what they need and vice Versa to make the trades smoother? Is there a plan to introduce viewing friends collections?

Games like this have long-term plan. They just don't release every intention of changes they have in mind publicly.

They already confirmed that Trade Tokens will be removed from the game by the end of this year, however - I would bet they still have to decide on other improvements of trade function, and best system of how to request specific card for trade in-game.

I would hope that they make changes to make trading more accessible. Being able to see other players' collections would be a good start.

Something like a GTS for cards would be fantastic, although I suspect a lot of it would be flooded with "Ratata for Mewtwo ex" tier trades like the days when the feature first debuted.

And the ability to trade higher level rarities and promos is vital to make trading worth much of anything at all.

Unfortunately, the easier it is to aquire cards through alternative means like trading, the less likely we are to buy packs. So the developers are incentivised to drag their feet on these features, if they don't quietly drop them entirely.

I would be very happy to be proven wrong, though.

You can see other players collection if they put it in binders. However even if there would be #duplicates tag to hint that those are the cards you offer for trade, you could still, only guess which one of those cards your trading partner need in return. Trial and error, would be tedious way to find out.

This game need trading system where you would directly select, what cards you are searching for, what cards you offer for trade, preferred language of the card in trade and if match is found you could send friend request to initiate the trade.

Only way you can trade cards now is to spam discussions, or use 3rd party site that does exactly what I described above, except the preferred language selection.

Frequency of how often new set is released, trade token cost of 4 diamond cards and date of planned update to remove tokens being as far as end of the year, gives clear message that DeNA does not wat players to complete their collection by getting cards from trade. They want players to spend more money to purchase lot of booster packs.
