Pokemon Contest style Spin Off Games

I like the idea of a side series of games focussed on Pokémon Contests. Another alternative is that they could make it so that the main games allow the player to select which of multiple story paths or play styles they'd like with Pokémon Contests being one of the choices. I've felt for a long time that the Pokémon Contests from the main games had lots of potential to be more in-depth by being expanded upon.

I like the Pokémon Contests in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and the ones in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. I feel those two versions of Pokémon Contests provide a solid foundation from which the idea can expanded upon, mostly in gameplay. I like the various effects the Moves have, the Jamming mechanic, managing the excitement meter, the Move combos, it's a fun gameplay dynamic to find a strategy to try to get higher Appeal to try to get higher Appeal and try to make the three opponents mess up while they try to do the same to you. It's a really huge missed opportunity that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire didn't have online multiplayer for them, as the idea of Pokémon Contests developing a multiplayer metagame of its own like Pokémon Battles already have fascinates me and I'd find it fun, especially if Pokémon Contests were made more in-depth perhaps even to the same extent as Pokémon Battles.

I notice that most people who like Pokémon Contests or talk of it is either people primarily doing Pokémon Contests as part of collecting as many Ribbons as possible for the their Pokémon or those who like Pokémon Contests because of the anime. I like Pokémon Contests because of the gameplay of it in the Hoenn main games. I'm glad that there are others here who like Pokémon Contests and want something more done with the idea. I like the turn-based battle system of the Pokémon series and I like how Pokémon Contests in the Hoenn main games are also turn-based. I wouldn't like Pokémon Contests to become some sort of mini-game or become too gimmicky, even if to be honest that's kind of hard to define but I feel there's some kinds of changes that just wouldn't feel right to me. I feel the way the Hoenn main games have the gameplay of Pokémon Contests as is good, I'd like that expanded from that foundation.
