Feedback on Genetic Apex SP Emblem Event 1 (win streak event)

i agree, it was frustrating and a little anxiety triggering but i think that adds to the experience! took me a couple hours and felt like it is a cool reward for the potential struggle some may face. Struggle makes victory that much more enjoyable to me. not everyone has to do every event and thats ok, i feel making the events "easier" would be boring.

This event is so unfair.
Sorry, Charizard.0 -
It is hard to get 5 points and depends on luck really. I was level 20 and used Fire type deck and for 5th opponent I got level 30+ opponent with water deck, so there was no chance of a win, so I just gave up of this event since it is loss of time and reward is just a useless badge.
Maybe a good approach to alter the event would be that you get 1 point for a win and lose 1 point if you lose the battle.
So basically, if you have 4 points and lose a battle, then you lose 1 point and have 3 points instead of resetting to 0.

I'll be making my own post about this soon, but this event has a lot of issues that seem to compound the player's frustrations. The easiest thing to do is extend the duration of the event to allow people more time to work through it. A week is nowhere near long enough to complete an event where the amount of effort required is theoretical. I hope this is only a bump in the road for Pocket and that the devs heed any advice to improve the event (although I wouldn't be sad if it were ditched altogether).

I wholeheartedly agree, I too signed up today on the forums to say how taxing on health this event was.
My experience has been insanely frustrating.
I attempted the event many times (counting when the streak break at 2 wins) and managed to reach the 5th match only 7 times just to be defeated by the usual "meta" decks, being Articuno EX+Misty 1 turn instant shot/pikachu EX+Zapdos EX/Moltres EX+Charizard EX.
Another thing that definitely doesn't help is how the game detects the type of deck you are using by checking what type of energy it has selected and seems to prioritize certain matchups based on the stage of the winning streak.
This wouldn't mean anything normally, but I confirmed how if I picked a grass deck, most of the time I would face grass decks.
On the last attempt I managed to get the gold medal with a fighting deck, these were my matchups:
1) water ⇒ neutral type2) water ⇒ neutral type
3) grass ⇒ opposite type (I had pokemon with grass weakness in the deck)
4) psico ⇒ opposite type
5) psico ⇒ opposite type
Suggestion:
I think that from the start it should have been done it in stages in a way like this:- you win the 1st match => [ Participation medal ]
- you win 2 more matches in a row => [ Bronze medal ]
- you win 2 more matches in a row => [ Silver medal ]
- you win 2/3 more matches in a row => [ Gold medal ]
And also make so that if you tie by chance you don't lose/win but the neither the current streak breaks.

I got pretty unlucky on this one. Couldn't get above a two win streak. That's just the way it goes sometimes.
I understand that they don't want to divide the playerbase between too many formats and events, but it would be nice if there was an alternative event to play in between attempting streaks.
This will probably be alleviated once the ranked mode is available anyway, but for now alternatives would be nice.
