Suggestion: conceding should give +5 exp to winner

If your opponent concedes, you should receive 20 XP instead of 15. Simple, but very effective.

If your opponent is upset about how the game went, they might think twice before conceding, knowing they’d be giving you more experience. This allows you to continue playing and work toward beating them outright. However, it could also lead to some frustration (showing off) that they might not handle well, causing them to concede anyway.

On the other hand, if your opponent feels you played with good sportsmanship and won fair and square, they might concede as a gesture of respect and acknowledgment.

Fewer quits, more fair play.

I find it really amusing that so many new players don't understand that conceding it's part of the game, it's essensially a way to save time... there is no reason to keep playing a game that you think it's lost (unless you really want to).

And in a mobile game even has the benefit of saving battery. Would you prefer that your opponent just close the app/disconnect and you stay there looking at the screen for ages?

Just stop with this anti conceding nonesence already.

@DoubleCure is right conceding saves time

Plus why does it matter to me if my opponent gets more exp from me conceding I don’t have beef with any of my opponents cause either way if what you said would be implemented I would still be walking away with 0 exp

Pretty much what everyone else said. Life is short. The five or more minutes you save is your bonus XP. Expecting a reward for winning when you already get a reward Just makes you a sore winner. Just take the win.

i feel like this would just turn into people getting to a point of mathematical win then just slow play every turn after to make the opponent concede. it seems like a cool idea to add 5 exp for a concede but i can see it turning into a reason to kind of troll people.

I understand what you’re saying, but winning and earning points isn’t everything. You want to play your deck with your combos the way it’s meant to work, the way you prepared your deck to function. When someone quits early, they’re not letting you do that just because some RNG didn’t go their way.

If your opponent leaves because they felt it was an easy win for you, you could earn an extra 5 points for being a good player, having a well-built deck, or simply having great luck with RNG. But if your opponent leaves out of frustration because they hate your luck or your deck, they might think twice, knowing they’ll be giving you extra experience points.

It’s not just about how much experience you earn in a given amount of time, like efficient farming. It’s also about how you play and whether you can make your deck perform as it’s supposed to.

You've already won if they concede. Be happy with that.

If you really wanted to "complete your plays", you can fight CPUs for that satisfaction.

Your point about potentially rewarding players who played well already exists: the thanks button.

Conceding is part of the game. Every other digital TCG has the feature. Real life TCGs also have people surrendering when it's clear they can't win.

Like it or not conceding is part of the game. It's part of ever TCG both digital and physical. You just have to live with it.

For your point on completing your plays, if you really want to go and do it, just play against the CPU, they won't concede.

Some people think that people should not be allowed to concede or should be punished for doing so. They want to play out the game and win "properly".

Others think that refusing to concede is disrespectful and/or a waste of time.

There will be no solution that makes everyone happy. But I prefer that we have the option to concede immediately and move on to the next match, whatever our reasons and justifications.

I have played all kinds of games where conceding is punished or simply not an option. It is miserable, especially in longer strategy games.

I would say just take the W and move on.
