@MajorBrendan To be honest remakes are inherently lazy because it's usually just a reskin of the old games and usually not much different from a remaster. Unless they add a ton more extra content and heavily expand on the original title then it will be mediocre even if it is done in-houuse.

Either way Gen 5 is a weird generation, one I would say will never get a remake due to a very important factor: it has a sequel. They will either have to remake both, remake the first and ignore the sequel, or add a third entry. I think the choice is obvious.

@MajorBrendan I think ILCA is also making Mario and Luigi Brothership.

Alphadream (the team that made M&L) was closed after mario & luigi bowser's inside story 3ds released in 2019.

ILCA has an unspecified rpg game releasing in 2024.

Nintendo has stated that people who worked on the previous m&l games are working on this one as well.

10 of Alphadreams employees now work at ILCA which is more than any other studio that Alphadream employees went too.

Additionally the art style is vary similar to several of ILCA's games.

How about a Pokémon fighting game with devastating finishers that can only be performed at the end of each battles known as Pokétalities where the defeated Pokémon may suffer such an unfortunate twist of fate being scorched in flames, zapped by electricity, shattered into ice shards, smothered in poison, or smooshed flat as a rug. There are other finishers such as Stage Pokétalities where the defeated Pokémon is sent flying off the stage and plummeting to their inevitable doom. Some of these other finishers such as Babalities where the defeated Pokémon is devolved into their baby or pre-evolved forms as if they had just hatched from an Egg, and Friendships for laughs.
