Honestly, I'd say Gates to Infinity.
It's my favorite PMD game, It was the first Pokemon game I played to completion in general. I feel it's story is amazing, extremely important and pretty fun & deep as well. It got me to start thinking of stories I want to tell (even though I never end up finishing them tbh). I might write an essay about that once I'm done with my current playthrough.
The game also effected my personal life in a really positive way too! I won't go into detail about it though.
So yeah. In conclusion, Gates to Infinity is my favorite PMD (and pokemon spinoff in general). Highly reccomend playing or watching a longplay of it!0 -

If they wanna be lazy then we are getting an effortless gen 5 or gen 6 remake like with gen 4 (will be even easier to make now that the foundation was set with bdsp), if they wanna be creative then we may get a gen 5 or gen 6 sequel or even a brand spanking new entry into the series. We are also getting a new legends.
Me I really want another dual region pokemon game like with gen 2.

@MonstaDash I would anticipate a gen 5 remake to be lazy, if they go for the ILCA route. I even seen the latest Inazuma eleven trailer and I suspect that has ILCA written all over it.
