Why am I only doing 80 damage with grafaiai

So testing cards and I'm looking at grafaiai and made a deck basically gholdingo but with grafaiai pal 146.
It's supposed to do 40 damage x per energy discard.
But with poison, binding mochi, and discarding 4 basic energy i'm only doing 80 damage.

I miss read the card as I only had dark and water energy I should of been doing 80 damage +40 from from mochi and poison but it was only doing 80.
