Is cornerstone mask ogerpon ex supposed to be able to hit farigiraf ex?

played a game and farigiraf ex was able to get damage by cornerstone mask ogerpon ex. Is this a bug or is there a rule I’m not aware of?

Thank you was just wondering. Was flabbergasted when it happened.
So does Cornerstone ogerpon’s ability essentially cancel out other Pokémon with ability’s similar to the one found on Farigiraf ex(Armor Tail)?
I did discover that a cornerstone can hit another cornerstone.0
