Why are we okay with this?

@UnovanZorua you have to fool the censors, which unfortunately requires the use of dogwhistling to avoid the eyes of our corporate overlords

@TheNintenerd We are talking about critiquing a video game series, not overthrowing a government or society. Calm down.
Again, the moderation here seems very lenient. It's the automated review bots that appear trigger-happy.

What an interesting read… Topic shifted faster than an ExtremeSpeed 😂

@TheJeffers I'm not going to be gaslit into thinking that the franchise has trained its current demographic to be anti-criticism. I've done it long enough to know how people (kids and "Pokémon adults") are quick to downplay criticisms in an effort to make people look irrational. That's why I had to say "Why are we okay with this?" as opposed to "The Dex Cuts were for nothing." Nobody wants the truth, so I have to prompt them to think so their initial reaction isn't outright anger towards someone ripping into the thing they enjoy.

@TheNintenerd I am not sure what you are specifically responding to, or why someone saw fit to revive this thread after a month, but I don't think anyone is trying to gaslight you. Not in this thread, at least. And certainly not me.
That said, you are always going to find people on the extremes; those who will accept no criticism at all, for whom everything is perfect and beyond reproach, and those on the opposite end of the spectrum, who criticise everything endlessly and for whom absolutely nothing is of any merit. (I think some people believe I am the latter, which is definitely not true.)
You do get the occasional Pokémon sycophant or dedicated hater cropping up here, but from my experience most people are prepared to at least discuss things, even if they fervently disagree, and the moderators let a lot of things through.
Discussion here is surprisingly more open than a lot of other places on the internet, which I didn't expect when joining the official Pokémon forums. Within reason, of course. It's still a corporate owned board for a children's game.
All that said, I could have missed something. Could you cite some examples of what you are talking about?

@TheJeffers You portray yourself as if you can't take criticism but after arguing with you a little bit I can understand that you are the opposite
