Weaknesses not working?

The weaknesss of cards are only applying the multiplyer sometimes, is this a glitch or hidden mechanic I'm unaware of?

    Either you're mistaken about the defending Pokemon's weakness, or you're using an attack which doesn't hit for weakness. Give specific examples, as you always should since saying "dis broke" doesn't help anyone.

    Cramorant doesn't hit for weakness, Water can be weak to Lightning or Metal, Psychic can be weak to Metal or Darkness, Fighting can be weak to Grass or Psychic, Darkness can be weak to Fighting or Grass, and Colorless can be weak to Fighting or Lightning. There, I think I covered all the possibilities.

    dunsparce or florges in play can also negate weakness, and in expanded there's also weakness energy. I think there was also a tool in expanded that does the same
