Cards not resolving

Just now in my last game I tried to play Klara and Superior Energy Retrieval on consecutive turns and after selecting the cards I wanted to take from my discard and hit ok it just didn't resolve. The card was used but I didn't get the cards I selected.

Superior Energy Retrieval had the same error twice in two of my previous 4 games.

Did the opponent have the new Toadscruel (non-ex) in play? If so, that's why and you need to read your opponent's cards.

They did not in none of the games

Are you sure? In-play includes the bench. If not, what were you playing against?
