NOTE: We are currently aware of an issue for MacOS users in which updating the client to 1.0.1 will install duplicate copies of the game onto their system. Until a solution is implemented, uninstalling and reinstalling the game should remove the duplicate.

I really don’t want to assume this is the case but if it is. I totally agree. Prepping us by saying exciting news and then giving us bug fixes (which is nice and I definitely appreciate it) and some free currency (which is also nice and appreciated) seems not great. It would have been better to say “hey, we’ve got some bug fixes and a small token of appreciation for putting up with redemption issues coming next week.”
If this is what the exciting news was then it communicates that they want us to have expectations that are as low as possible. I mean a patch to address bugs that have been well documented for weeks should be business as usual not exciting news. Once again, I’m thankful for what we’ve been given and the crystals are a nice touch but it doesn’t take a marketing genius to know that the message they sent out last week was going to make us hope for at least an iOS release if not an expansion of the beta. I don’t mean to be harsh but hopefully this is useful feedback on the messaging, and maybe that’ll help the dev team to manage expectations a little better in the future.

I see that the bugs that I reported to the Pokémon support (like the non-working search function in the deck building when the client language is different from english or the fact that the Battle Pass is inaccessible right after a match) have not been fixed yet. At a first glance it seems that only some audio/music changes were made, but let's wait for the patch notes.

Just played a game and it somehow is worse, cards floating about the place. Somebody used a research and got 8 cards instead of 7. But also the battle pass still is broken you can only view the battle pass when you first open the client. If you play a game or do anything else like redeem cards you will get an error saying its not available at the moment.

When and where will we get the patch notes?

What could you possible expect as far as exciting news at this point in development? Fixing significant bugs IS exciting news, and free currency is certainly a great bonus.
If you were expecting them to announce completely revamped avatars or a new board layouts for PC, or point an click options instead of always dragging things. These are (relatively) small QOL issues considering there are game breaking bugs to address. If you're not okay with that, then participating in a BETA probably isn't for you.
