I tried joining the lobby and it said it was full, so I knew what was going on.
I was a bit tilted after my latest ranked matches that didn't go well😒 so maybe it was best I took a break anyway so it didn't show in my matches.

In all the years this has been up, I'm honestly surprised no one has written a comprehensive guide to Unite(if there is one in unaware of it). Basically explaining the roles of each type(ex: Attacker, Defender, Support, etc.) and what they're meant to do, generic strategy for any given game and basically a generic blueprint for how to play if someone completely brand new were to start playing.
Not saying I'm going to drop what I'm doing and start but it's just an observation I've made.

Alolan Ninetales is in the game, in turn placing Vulpix (Alolan)

I know she is. She's a hybrid as I look at her. Ranged Attacker primarily but has a bit of support in her with Aurora Veil. The only reason I'm even inclined to post here is because of that.
I'd add that Kanto Ninetales could be added if they wanted to. Drought ability to weaken Water moves while buffing the snot out of Fire. Fire Spin to trap, Flamethrower to deal raw fire in a straight line, Extrasensory for a mini-nuke and perhaps Solar Beam to catch Water types off-guard.
Probably a similar kit on other Fire Types but it's just something I came up with on the fly.

There is a YouTube playlist regarding the basics... I'll link it here. However, the game updates every month around the new season, new Pokemon, new stadiums or new events, so things change.
Occasionally we get major updates/changes like lobby functionality changes, gold coins system to license point ladder/path/journey thing, in-game selection of moves upon leveling up to must pick prior to match in lobby, and not to mention the abolishment of more than one set of moves for new Pokemon (I mean, really??? Isn't a big part of Pokemon the ability to customize your tcg deck, your main line games" Pokemon's moves, basically the ability to play the way that works best to your style?)
Anyways, here's the list they put out a while ago. (These are from the Official Pokemon Unite YouTube channel)

Ranked season ends TODAY at daily reset.
If you haven't leveled up to where you want to be for the end of the season, I wish you the best of luck while you grind ranked.
Remember after the season ends they'll boot you down a rank class type level (legends to masters, masters to ultras, ultras to veterans, veterans to great, etc.). Then we get to grind all over again to maintain our streaks or to exceed where we were before.

Also:
- The current battle pass for Umbreon's holowear is ending.
- There will be an update/download for the game.
- The new battle pass for Dragonite will begin once Umbreon's is over.
- The treasure chest challenge for Tsareena's holowear ends soon (today or tomorrow, idk). Exchange your tickets for items you would like and can afford (the holowear, background, frame, sticker, etc.) before they automatically convert to standard tickets. Just a heads-up, if you received a prize through the boxes already, like a profile background, frame or sticker, it will not be grayed out and you might accidentally choose to exchange for it again. If that happens, they will not let you use those tickets for anything else and will convert the duplicated item for standard tickets (not for the event tickets).
- Eevee festival is starting in October... around the 16th possibly.

And.... will we be having a "flying pumpkins" mer stadium again? 😃🎃. That was SOOOOOOO much fun last year. 😁
