Turn That Frown Upside Down!

With so much negativity lately going on (even I have taken time to complain, rant, or just shake my head at some of the "silliness" that is part of Unite) I believe it is time for a new positive post about Unite to remind us all of the things, big or small, that makes us want to fight for improvements to the game and/or keeps us coming back for more.

Why do you like Unite? What keeps your interest here? What do you find to be the most enjoyable things about the game?

Let's all try to keep things positive and help ourselves and others to turn our frowns upside down 🙂

(Please don't turn this into a flagging war like last time, that is a negative thing. Let's keep it positive and encouraging to and for all participants in this thread. Thank you!)

Hmmmm I can list a lot of reasons I like the game, afterall, I do play daily 😁.

To start, I'll just say the ability to play a live action Pokemon game in real time with friends from all over the world!

The format itself is sooooo different then the other Pokemon games and I find the use of only one Pokemon per match per trainer, yet said trainer still works with other trainers as a team (MOBA), is fun and exciting!

The live action use of special and standard/basic attacks, moves, etc. as well as the specific and varied abilities for each Pokemon really makes the Pokemon feel alive.

Yet customization and choice, which is part of a core Pokemon tradition, is still there with emblem collections and sets as well as held items.

Friends

I find myself really not enjoying when I play with randos but when I have even just one of my buddies (D, the Blaziqueen, PM, and others) I actually have fun, even if we lose

Also, the License Ladder has been giving me some really good Pokémon lately and I like being able to unlock other Pokémon that I missed during my long breaks from the game

For me it's the sheer amount of different roles you can take, sometimes all at once.

I love that sometimes, you can either disrupt or damage, for example Lapras. Lapras' Perish Song can actually do respectable amounts of damage, and Water Pulse is just amazing for being a bully in lane.

Believe it or not, the game is actually pretty balanced since almost no one can afford any of the newer broken releases, and even lower-tier Pokemon like Azumarill and Chandelure still see a fair bit of usage.

Also, I really enjoy playing with my friends. I don't get to do it often, but even if it's someone I don't know in person, I can have such a blast!

Only two people I know in person play the game.

Everyone else I've met through random matches or through the forums. The majority of my friends on the friends list are my battle buddies 😎 from previous random matches. And those that stick around are ones that our styles mesh well together, we just click, or we like to have fun together. 😁

So, yep, friends are big part of me coming back for more. (Well, that and I've got a competitive streak 😉).

It's great that we have Unite for sure, even tho I stopped playing for a long time because it was too annoying… now as a returning player I just play for fun... not taking it seriously, no pressure to play daily and mostly playing casual.

The sad part is that this game could be so much better with small changes.
