Here's something to think about:
If a Dragonite became a dragon-slaying knight, becoming the dragon slaying dragon knight Dragonite it would be a traitor to its knight slaying Dragonite brethren

The Dragonite could be a "Dragon"-knight without slaying or betraying it's brethren, because the act of slaying ones own should take away one's knighthood status, at least imo. Thus the Dragonite-knight who did so, would no longer stand for all that knighthood symbolizes unless.... the Dragonite-knight was defending the realm against other dragons who were in "opposition" (to put it mildly) and made incursions or worse into the realm, against the crown, & the inhabitants the Dragonite-knight had sworn to protect as part of the Dragonite's knighthood.
Hmmmm, we need some people who might possibly know more about this subject.... I call upon SirFetch'd! (or @BSDuck might know too)

Aren't you from the land with the actual history of knights? (You don't need to answer that 😉). Soooooo I was hoping maybe you knew more about all that knight stuff than what my limited knowledge is 😁.
